PS4 Cant join / host game

PS4 - Trouble joining friend

My friend recently got Terraria so we could play together in the PS4. Unfortunately whenever we try to join each other we both get a message that says "a network error has occurred" Our nat types are both type 2 and we can play just fine on any other games. Does anyone know a fix?

I play on ps4 and can't play online if friends join me they get a network error and i get the message ???left. The same happens the other way around when i join friends but they can play. I dont think its the NAT cause i got type 2 So if anyone else got this problem please help me

I just bought this game for PS4 Pro only for multiplayer.
The lack of support is staggering.

Hi @nykon, welcome to the forums, sorry to hear you’re having an issue.

Did you try any of the possible troubleshooting that were responses in the other threads? Checking your and your friend’s NAT type, do you and your friend have PlayStation Plus (it’s a question that sometimes gets answered no so we do need to ask it), check out if your console is using UPnP or did you port forward?

You linked a thread that deals with having two consoles on one network - is that an issue you’re also dealing with, or is the console you’re trying to play with in another household?
