PS Vita Can't open fishing crates

Since fishing was introduced the other day on console, I've been having a go on the vita version of the game. When I try and open any crates I get though, I simply 'take one' instead of opening them. In the information panel on the right it says press triangle to open but that selects one like it does for other items. Strangely enough this isn't the case for presents: they work as the wooden crates should.

Hopefully a developer sees this and looks into it as fishing was one of my favourite mechanics on PC and I was excited to hear it was coming to console.

Sounds silly question, but is it in your hotbar when you do it? As I know that only works for some things.

You have to put it in the top row of your inventory and use it after exiting your inventory. Duplicate: http://forums.terraria.org/index.php?threads/opening-crates.38004/
