Biomes & Nature Catching up the Crimson - A few unresolved differences with the Corruption

What i was trying to say is that recoloring items in red is not a solution to the difference between the crimson and the corruption, we need different items(and sorry if dont talk english very well i am not from an english-talking country).
They don't have to be recolors. The Crimson variant of Vile Mushrooms could be Tumors. In some cases, though, like the Unholy Water variant, you're going to end up with a craftable item that you throw to spread the biome for consistency. Some items just have to be like that, but the biome's own diversity is something to be encouraged, which is why they offer different loot and armor with different bonuses, but fundamental items, like Wood, Seeds, Clentaminator Solution, and so on, just have to be that way.

tainted, tumor, rotting, putrid, fetid, words all best used to describe the filth that is crimson, amirite? i agree with you wholeheartedly about the crimson needing a bit more for being unique and "whole". you have my vote and support good sir!
 
Come on Re-Logic! Make 1.2.5 about this user's and @Baconfry 's suggestions as a preview for 1.3!

I like a lot of that stuff. Crimson is very :red:ty compared to Corruption. Accessory from crimson is pretty useless, while band of starpower is at the moment essence of mages (well, magic cuffs>celestial cuffs are, but you understand what i mean) My idea is:

Band of Bloodpower: restores 20 mana upon killing an enemy
Combined with Band of Regeneration gives:
Bloodfury band: Upon killing an enemy automatically starts mana regeneration, gives 10% magic damage buff for 2 seconds after killing an enemy
now we have Mana regeneration band equivalent, lets go further

Bloodfury necklace: Bloodfury band + panic necklace
Regenerates 10% of mana and gives 10% magic damage buff and 10% movement speed buff for 2 seconds after killing an enemy

Celestial Necklace: Celestial magnet + Bloodfury necklace
Regenerates 10% of mana and gives 10% magic damage buff and 10% movement speed buff for 2 seconds after killing an enemy. Increases mana star attraction range
 
Thank you! Blood pressure cuffs are great idea, your thread is very valuable but your ideas are a little bit, well, not going to work. Magic players do not want ither band of starpower nor mana regeneration band, we want magic cuffs which you still kept as corruption only item.
 
What about Archaeologist jacket and pant? they're exclusive in corruption world while the hat can be obtain any world in the jungle.
 
I agree, the Crimson really needs other components so it can really be the Corruption's counterpart.

It should have a counterpart to the Deathweed as well, I think that fits the Corruption for than Crimson.
 
You missed the fact that crimson doesn't have a light item. The corruption has the orb of light but crimson has nothing. So I made something.

The Crimson now has aligned fauna: Vicious Mushrooms, Vicious Powder, and Crimtane Thorns.
It's happened! Hooray! :D

It's not everything, but it is something. We haven't even begun to explore the update yet, so who knows!
