IC Celestial Outlaws

Creeper326

Plantera
Greetings, spacer.

It is the year of our lord, 5433 AD, and you have found yourself in the vast emptiness of space, chains around your wrists and ankles as you come awake inside of a dirty cargo hold. Several other people, aliens and humans alike, bound and collared surround you. You notice two muscular aliens with short limbs and elongated faces, wearing red armor with helmets with a single eye slit looking out, one holding a plasma rifle and the other a kinetic pistol. As your memories surface, you remember the space craft you were on was boarded by pirates. Instead of killing you, they took you prisoner.
Just as you begin looking around for anything to help, alarms blare as the ship rocks and suddenly all the lights go out. The two guards flick their lights on, sweeping the muzzles of their weapons over the captives and yourself as they talk in their alien language into a communicator in their helmets.
As they pass you by, you notice you have enough space to move, and so do the other prisoners. One prisoner uses their chains to wrap around the guard's throat, choking him out while another prisoner stands up and uses their shackles to knock the guard out through the helmet. Soon, the captives, yourself included, have freed yourselves and are deciding who gets to hold the guns and wear the armor.
The group scours the cargo hold and finds an old manual to the ship as well as all the equipment the pirates stole from you and your own ships, with the exception of weapons, which you suspect they stored in the ship's armoury. You see you are in a freighter class ship, with two spare drop ships supposedly in the ship's hanger, with enough space for the lot of you to squeeze on. The journey from the cargo hold to the ship's hanger is a little ways, down a few corridors and with plenty of dangers on the way, but with enough determination, charisma and group communication, you should be able to make it out.
This is where your otherworldly legend begins, spacer!

(If you happen to come across the need to speak to someone one to one, address the group OOC, or submit a character and join, you may attend the space bar here before coming back and participating in the intergalactic adventure!)

1. Respect each other. If you've got a problem with someone, talk with them either in private or OOC.
2. No godmoding. Whatever the DM says goes.
3. Please try to keep in character.
4. 3 OC's per player.

*Karzak groans as he gets up, ridding his limbs of the chains the pirates bound him with. He turns from the rest of the captives, and immediately helps freeing them.*
"Greetin's, fellas. Come on, it probably won't be long before other pirates come to check what the ruckus was, and I ain't too keen on leavin' anyone behind on this rust bucket."

As someone unlocks the chains, a girl falls on the floor, clearly in a bad state. She seems to have taken a bad beating.

...

After a bit, she slowly stands up. "...Well..."

After a bit, she slowly stands up. "...Well..."
*Karzak kneels beside her, offering her a hand to help her stand after unlocking any chains she may have been bound with.*
"Are you alright, miss? Is there anything harming you right now?"

"Are you alright, miss? Is there anything harming you right now?"
"...I think."
The girl takes his hand and stands up more stably.
"Heh... It's not a big deal." Her wounds say the opposite.
Nonetheless, she walks around, albeit a little wobbly, looking for her band of nanorope. (Her umbrella is shrunk and fitted into her right ear, and when she was kidnapped no one noticed it) "...Heya."

Not long after, she finds it, and puts it on her right waist.
Then, looking back at the prisoners, she also joins to try unlocking via nanorope pull.

One of the other captives, after being freed and thanking Karzak for the help, checks his gloves for something.
After about ten seconds, he nods to himself.

After a bit, the girl walks to the exit to take a glance at the situation outside.

If anyone takes a closer look, they'd notice she has multiple whip wounds on her legs and arms.

*Karzak doesn't move from Xeuqing's side, and keeps supporting her.*
"We'll never get through this if any of us are dishonest and proud. Please, what can we do to help?"

*Karzak notices, and his face becomes harder, like he's trying to mask his emotions. He takes off his jacket and offers it to Xueqing, as well as one of the weapons from the guards.*

(Hey, I can post two times in a row now!)
After a bit, the girl walks to the exit to take a glance at the situation outside.
[She sees an empty corridor leading into the ship. There's around 10 meters of empty corridor before an airlock separates one segment of the corridor from the next. The corridor itself is uninviting, with numerous junk items scattered around the place and stains of various liquids splotched on the walls. On the top of the doorframe of the cargo hold is a white plaque with black letters reading: 'Cargo Hold'.
Back inside the cargo hold, there are a few crates scattered about, a few labelled with odd inventory, likely scraps the pirates though worth salvaging.

Though it's likely nobody will notice at first, a thin trail of steam begins to waft up from a long, thick metal crate. It's ratcheted to the floor and buried under a few smaller crates, but it seems.. dated. Worn. There's a quiet bang, seemingly from within, and then, silence.

The jut qou puts a hand over his face, staying quiet in a corner of the room.
“…please tell me this is a citrus-induced hallucination or an advanced false environment…”
A D20: 20 perception will notice an otherworldly light being projected by his hand onto his right eye.

His perception, however, is different. Elsewhere.
Out of the corner of his right eye, he spots the occupant of the outlying crate, like the scene in SSBB where Lucario sees through Snake’s cardboard box.

His hand still on his face, he speaks at a volume closer to normal;

“…who is that? is that the slenderman? no. that is the guy you call when you want the slenderman dead.

The crate buckles again, with a bit of the top denting outwards.

A molten indentation begins to form along the metal, it's in the shape of three long, claw-like fingers, and a palm with a gap in the middle.

"Unfortunately, this is very real, I'm afraid. I do, however, have training in this situation; if you'd like to get home safe, I may help you in this situation."

*Karzak's forehead begins creasing with more worry at the crate, and glances at Xueqing.*

It buckles further, Tips of molten claws driving the metal thin as a quiet, but audible hiss fills the air. The steam thickens as the top of the crate ripples a few times, as if about to be torn open...

The heat seems to slowly dissipate, though the metal remains a molten orange, and the thuds against the crate grow silent.

*Karzak doesn't move from Xeuqing's side, and keeps supporting her.*
"We'll never get through this if any of us are dishonest and proud. Please, what can we do to help?"
"Well..." Xueqing raises up her arm - and feels a bit sore. Nonetheless, she scratches her head.
"I'm hurt it seems. Maybe we'll take care of that later...?"
As she turns back, she accidentally hit her left arm on a wall, causing one of her wounds to start producing pain again. "*hisssssss* crap-"

*Karzak notices, and his face becomes harder, like he's trying to mask his emotions. He takes off his jacket and offers it to Xueqing, as well as one of the weapons from the guards.*
After a bit, the mature girl takes the weapon (not noticing the jacket being worn on her), and, with her 15-year-old-alike curiosity, looks at the weapon. "Guess we successfully snatched 'em, huh."
*Karzak looks over the crate with concern, but is reluctant to leave Xeuqing's side.*

Noticing something wrong, Xueqing looks at the crater.
...
She's visibly nervous.

??? silently watches the others for a while, then looks towards the exit, in case anything approaches.

[Xueqing has acquired a T-5 self defense blaster. it is a small calibre laser weapon. Effective for unarmoured individuals, but inefficient against metal or armour. Its case looks cracked, with the energy core exposed. If used extensively, it's clear it'll break while being used. Could make a good improvised grenade though.]

*Karzak gently guides Xueqing away from the walls, steading her as carefully as he can.*
"Just take it easy, miss. Leave the more physically demanding tasks to me and the others."
*He considers Delta for a bit.*
"Maybe just me and the boy there."

"Yeah, these guys aren't known to have very functional or... Safe weapons, so be careful in case that thing's ill maintained."

*Karzak dons the armour of one of the guards, then creeps closer to the crates, raising a gauntlet towards the melting crate.*

<...a bit broken. Can be somehow used as a grenade... I can't keep that for long, if I bump into something it might as well blow my clothes up>

Xueqing nods.
"...Also, it's safe outside."

"i can clearly see that-"
For a moment Xueqing went God Dammit Kris Where The :red: Are We.

“…what about that bright cousin over there?”
He gestures towards Kelyn.
“he looks like he is or almost is a young adult. so he could probably help too… i am not as physically strong as other qou. so i am not that much stronger than i was before my death.”
