NPCs & Enemies Change the name of Cthulhu related bosses

Netwalkthroughs

Terrarian
In light of the Moon Lord being added as the ultimate final boss of Terraria, I suggest the names of Brain of Cthulhu, Eye of Cthulhu, etc. be changed to Brain of the Moon Lord, Eye of the Moon Lord, etc. Cthulhu is a pre-established character with his own mythos, so when you hear the name "Eye of Cthulhu" you immediately know what the whole thing would look like and understand how powerful it is. This leaves very little to the imagination. I feel like changing the names to the Moon Lord would be really nice for the feel of Terraria. You would first fight the eye and struggle greatly to defeat it. You wonder what the monster could possibly be. You continue to fight pieces of him and find relics related to him. Finally you see the whole thing (Which was already an overwhelming experience to begin with) but now you already know the might of just the dismembered pieces of it, which would all add to a really cool feel and make it feel even more final than it already does. It would make the bosses feel more unique as well, instead of just of copy of Lovecraftian mythology.

It's a small change, but I think it would make a huge difference.

Also sorry if this is a terrible idea, this is my first post.

But the Moon Lord isn't Cthulhu. Cenx herself said that the Moon Lord is Cthulhu's brother.

Moon Lord is quite clearly not cut up into pieces . Also, Cthulhu would be a lot bigger, and disproportionate, based on the size of his eye and brain.

I know the Moon Lord isn't Cthulhu. I'm saying that removing the references to Cthulhu and replacing them with references to the Moon Lord would make the Moon Lord more intimidating (as you fight its eye and its brain on their own and they are already formidable foes) and would also make the player wonder about what it is the whole game making the payoff when you fight it even greater.

Not really. I didn't think twice about the Eye or the Brain. I just stepped over their corpses and continued down the road of progression. :p They're weren't really all that formidable. There isn't any "canon" lore that would intrigue me about it. They are just obstacles in my path, waiting to be mowed down.

Edit: Heck, back in the day we didn't even have a Brain to fight. The Eye was the only body part of Cthulhu around to murder.

Yup, and they get mowed down better with the Arkhalis.
