Although i was and always will be very excited for when ToW gets released, i am no longer going to "get on the hype train" like i see so many others doing. I can so clearly remember back to 2015 when this game was introduced and between then and now there has been at least a year of radio silence. i will begin to get excited for ToW only when i can see a finished product and not another apology on why it is being delayed for a 3rd...4th...or 5th time

Same BUT I'm still exited for it to come out

[doublepost=1503432202][/doublepost]so plsss (sorry for begging)
Re-Logic doesn't seem to be hiring right now (at the very least not publicly), and Pipeworks isn't looking for artists at the moment. You could always file a general application if you live in the area, have a decent portfolio and a couple of years of commercial development under your belt, but I personally doubt a pixel art specialisation would cut it (not that much call for those these days).

I have managed to maintain a career of just under 35 years in game development as a pixel art specialist, so you might be surprised just how much "call" there is for those these days.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. Checking up on the forums after 4 months and no news of TOW. They did say to expect more silence. The facebook update on the new Terraria patch was nice at least.

Honestly, I'm very disappointed in the sheer lack of updates we've gotten. Even a simple "Hey, we're still alive!" from an intern maybe once a month would be enough to tide a lot of people over, including me. Maybe even a little preview of an item to stoke the hype fire that has all but been reduced to embers at this point.
I'm still excited for the game, though. I still revisit Terraria to this day, and I am permanently hyped for how it could possibly be improved upon.

I very much doubt it would. I think what most people want is spoilers and/or release dates. A one sentence message as to whether or not TO is still being worked on is not only pointless (there is no reason to assume there isn't), but isn't going to satisfy most people either.

This is so true.
One sentence would lead to cries for more information and/or dates, plus visuals.
Fans are NOT going to be satisfied either way.
But unfortunately, if radio silence is the order of the day, suck it up and deal with it.
Re-Logic/Pipeworks owe their fans only the best game possible. News and updates is optional.

hey i dont know about you guys but this kinda sounds like half life 3, so much hype but i think this game wont succeed that much, especially when people wait that much, im not trying to be an a*****e but i just dont think game will live up to the hype, anyways i really hope it will come out some time soon, its really interesting how Re-Logic are going to make this game...

Actually, @Proto Persona at the end of the swing grappling video, it says coming to PS4, XBox 1 and Steam: Mac and Windows.
I get that but you've gotta remember a couple of things.
  1. The video in question came out before the change in developers and the current reevaluation of the game.
  2. The reevaluation could mean a change in the target platforms from what they originally planned.
I'm not saying Pipeworks and Relogic can't pull this off, but they are almost starting from square one. Things could change, or the entire project could die for reasons beyond the developer's control. Until we get some kind of official announcements all we can do is wait.

I'm pretty sure Re-logic would make at least an honest attempt to make sure they go with what they officially announced. Also, I'm pretty sure that they aren't starting back at square one. I highly doubt that they are doing a full rewrite before it is even released.

They changed teams and essentially started over because it wasn't becoming fun. Anything is on the table to be cut in that situation, including just starting from scratch.

I don't think they completely started over, but we can have our separate opinions. Some things we just won't ever know. unless Loki comes down here
