Sprites Changing textures depending on the season

me rigging my system clock to cycle through the seasons every 5 minutes so that terraria changes season every 5 minutes

why do you do this?

Of course! A purely visual idea like this one is hard to find fault with in concept, since it won't actually change anything about the game mechanically, so on a basic level this idea is better than most. Then there's the fact that it's actually a good idea in its own right. Not to mention it's pretty to look at.

I will say, though, don't hold your breath for a response from the devs. Most posts never get a response, even old/popular ones. I know exactly how you feel; we all want to have someone "important" tell us our ideas are worth something. Heaven knows I've spent a few hours refreshing the page to see if there are new replies on any of my particularly big posts. But it's not healthy to attach significant worth to a post on the Terraria forums. Just let it go where it will go, and in the meantime, know that your idea is good, regardless of what happens.

This has become thread bumping at this point and we need you to stop it.

If you have updates for your suggestion to make, it's fine to make a post to share those updates. Posting in hopes of getting a reply however, are against the forum rules.


There are 1,000s of suggestions made on these forums, and everyone can make suggestions that they think will improve the game, posting just to keep your thread at the top of the page is unfair to other people trying to also share their suggestions, and may result in points and restrictions if it continues.

If you have questions about this, you may send a pm. Otherwise if your post is the final one in the thread, don't make another post unless you have a significant new update.
