Game Mechanics Chest Locking

Would be a useful feature for multiplayer worlds so people can't steal your stuff.
There should be a option in the chest UI to lock the chest, so only the owner of the world can open it.

The 3 personal storage items normally do the trick, but I don't see why not.

You can prank people too easily with this. All you need is an empty chess, than lock it to have a indestructible block.

Good point! You could also lock a bunch of chests and reach the 1000 chest cap, making all other players unable to use storage items.
