Chlorophyte, sort of grows into your world once hardmode starts, sort of like how the hardmode ores sort of take time to appear.

You can grow chlorophyte yourself once you are able to mine it.

Did you try at different depths? Also waiting 5 in-game days might be a bit on the short side for 3ds.
Other people in this thread seems to have had better luck. Underworld doesn't seem to work though, like it does on other platforms.

I have been playing 3DS hardmode for 2 years now, and I still haven't had a solar eclipse. does anyone have the same problem?
