Cobalt Kunais: Cobalt Kunais are essentially consumable Throwing Knives made for Hardmode. They take the form of slightly larger blue kunais, and they pierce up to 3 enemies.

Cobalt Kunais deal 35 ranged damage, and are tossed at the same rate of most consumable weapons. Compared to their Palladium counterpart, Cobalt Kunais travel a slightly further range, but they struggle with dealing with crowds: they deal better damage in single target affairs. Kunais are Japanese weapons, and they fit the Cobalt Eastern Asia theme in items.

Palladium Calthrops: Orange calthrops that resemble spiked orange triangles. Palladium Calthrops are tossed at a shorter range than their cobalt counterparts; however, they stick on the ground and land there to deal damage to up to 6 targets.

This quality makes them better for crowds and overall damage, but they struggle with air targets. Palladium Calthrops deal 37 ranged damage, and reference Medieval European weapons; they were ground weapons that cavalry would step on. They are effectively upgraded Spiky Balls.

Both have Light Red rarity, and are affected by ammo conservation benefits. These act as cheap, helpful ranged weapons for those just entering Hardmode, and work well with ranged sets.

I think these would be the only hard mode exclusive throwing weapons. Sure I think they work.

I don't see these being very useful, if they're used at all. A lot of players (like myself) will outright skip making anything out of cobalt/palladium except for a pickaxe to just rush for the higher tier ores.

I think it would be a better idea to move these back into pre-hardmode and add them as bone kunais and bone caltrops respectively & have them drop from dungeon pots/chests, since these items would genuinely be useful in the dungeon.

ok thats true but the solution is to just make them max ore tier weapons

I would probably use ðe caltrops, but i understand ðat most people might not.

I like this idea; these would be fun!
(Plus, I love kunai.)
