Weapons & Equip Compendium of Chaos VIII: Accessorize (New Accessories)

Casey Howley

Steampunker
Hello Terraria Community! My name is Casey, and welcome to my Compendium of Chaos!
You might be wondering about the title of this thread. You see, I've spent the better part of a month tinkering with a great deal of ideas, and putting everything in one thread would be a bad idea.
So, this is to be a series of posts, with the connected title: Compendium of Chaos.

Part 8: Accessorize details the various accessory ideas I've come up with.
And hoo-boy, there's a lot here. This section actually makes up the majority of the compiled ideas from the past month.
Accessories are sorted by type. Relevant accessories are placed in sequence.

Movement Accessories
These accessories primarily provide benefits to movement in various ways.
Cloak of Discord
Allows you to teleport to the location of the mouse
Double tap a direction
Overrides dashes
Causes the chaos state
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Any Vanity Cape or Cloak + Rod of Discord
Alternate Source: Dropped by Queen Slime (Credit to Clockwork17)
Thought it would be neat to have an alternative option for using the Rod of Discord by giving it an accessory variant.
So that, should one still want to use it but want to free up the hotbar slot, they can wear it instead.

Cloak of Harmony
Allows you to teleport to the location of the mouse
Double tap a direction
Overrides dashes
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Any Vanity Cape or Cloak + Rod of Harmony
Source: Shimmer Cloak of Discord (After defeating Moon Lord)

Feather Hairpin
Greatly extends flight time with wings, and transforms the user into a Harpy while flying.
Source: Dropped by Harpies in Hardmode
Had a thought that it would be interesting to have a few additional accessories that transform the user as part of their benefits.
Each with their own unique environments, of course, and benefits befitting those environments.

Shed Cloak
Grants the wearer immunity to lava, and transforms them into a Salamander while in lava.
Source: Found in Shadow Chests
Alternatively, Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Neptune's Shell + Lava Charm (Credit: LisanPaez05)
While Terrarian Salamanders don't have lava immunity, fire immunity is a common mythological element they have.

Down Cloak
Grants the wearer lava immunity and extended flight time with wings.
Transforms the user into a Harpy while flying, and a Salamander while in Lava.
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Feather Hairpin + Shed Cloak
I didn't include every combination of the four transformation accessories because that might be overkill.
But wanted to combine the new ones together for the benefits of later recipes in the line.

Hecate’s Charm
Turns the wearer into a werewolf at night, a merfolk when entering water, a salamander when entering lava, and a harpy while flying.
Note: Appears as three crescent moons “back to back”?
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Any combination of Feather Hairpin + Moon Charm + Neptune’s Shell + Shed Cloak
Wouldn't be a party if you couldn't turn into four different creatures!
Hecate is the goddess of the Moon, and witchcraft, making the name fit well, and is sometimes associated with the land, sky, and ocean all at once.

Environment Boots
2 Defense
Allows swimming and super-fast running
Provides extra mobility on ice and extra speed on sand
Grants immunity to fall damage and fire blocks
Slightly increases Luck
"For use in hazardous environment conditions."
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Dunerider Boots + Ice Skates + Obsidian Horseshoe

Fire Whirl in a Bottle
Allows the holder to double jump
Appears as a thin, but tall column of spinning fire under the user.
Source: Found in chests in the cavern layer (replaces Cloud in a Bottle in chests of that layer)
Transmuted from: Magma Stone
Credit to Clockwork17

Fire Whirl in a Balloon
Allows the holder to double jump
Increases jump height
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Shiny Red Balloon + Fire Whirl in a Bottle
Credit to Clockwork17

Burnt Horseshoe Balloon
Allows the holder to double jump
Increases jump height and negates fall damage
Grants immunity to fire blocks
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Fire Whirl in a Balloon + Obsidian Horseshoe
Credit to Clockwork17

Informational Accessories
These accessories provide benefits in the form of information, and may function even when not equipped.
Encyclopedia
While in the player’s inventory, allows access to the Guide’s Crafting menu from anywhere.
Crafted @ Bookcase + Crystal Ball: 10 Books + Guide Voodoo Doll
This one is an older idea, but still a good one.
New and Veteran players might eventually get tired of running back to the Guide every time they want to check crafting recipes, so this is my solution.

Glistening Compass
While equipped or in the player's inventory, helps guide them towards the nearest pool of shimmer.
Crafted @ Workbench: 10x Gold Bar or Platinum Bar + 1 of each gem
My friend Neb prompted the creation of this one, but wasn't expressly responsible for the concept.
The Shimmer can be a nightmare to locate, and progression important, so this is for those who don't like aimless digging.
Update: Crafting recipe now uses Gold or Platinum bars, rather than a Compass (Credit to Clockwork17)

Health and Mana Accessories
These accessories provide benefits in the form of bonuses to health and mana.
Life Ring
Increases maximum life by 20
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: 8x Iron or Lead Bar + Life Crystal
This one, and its follow-ups, were also prompted by my friend Neb.
They thought it would be cool if there were accessories that increased your maximum life, like how there are accessories that increase your maximum mana.
The actual details were all me, though.
Update: Recipe changed to use Iron or Lead Bars rather than the Band of Regeneration. No longer provides life regeneration as a result.

Charm of Vitality
Increases maximum life by 50
Increases life regeneration
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Life Ring + Band of Regeneration
Update: No longer requires the Bolstering Bandage; instead uses the Band of Regeneration.

Pendant of Vigor
Increases maximum life by 100
Greatly increases life regeneration
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Charm of Vitality + 5x Life Fruit

Charm of Legends
Provides mana regeneration and reduces the potency of mana sickness by 25%
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Band of Mana Regeneration + Philosopher’s Stone
Alternate Source: Dropped by Necromancers, Ragged Casters, and Diaboloists
To clarify, the reduced potency effect should affect both the "stacks" granted by mana potions, and the maximum stacks of the buff.

Crystal Astrolabe
Magic damage restores a small amount of mana
The amount varies based on the cost of the projectile
Source: Rarely dropped by Pirates
Courtesy of Neb
They wanted to provide additional ways to restore mana by inverting the "take damage to regain mana" effect.
Update: Has been reworked. No longer restores mana based on magic damage dealt.

Vampire Fangs
0.5% of damage dealt is converted into healing
Recovered randomly rounded based on the fraction (0.2 life recovered -> 20% chance to recover 1 life, 1.3 life recovered -> 1 life + 30% chance to recover another, etc.).
Capped at ~2.25 life per second recovery.
Source: Rarely dropped by Vampires
Something of a counterpart to the Crystal Astrolabe.
Update: Neb fixed the numbers.

Flower Crown
Decreases mana cost by 8%
Slightly increases life regeneration
Reduces damage from touching lava
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Nature's Gift + Jungle Rose + Obsidian Rose
I thought it would be fun if there was an accessory that combined all the flowers.
As for the life regeneration aspect, my thought process is that the Jungle Rose has latent magical abilities that can be activated through proximity to other magical sources.

Mechanical Heart
Increases maximum life by 12%
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Life Ring + 5x Hallowed Bar + 10x Soul of Might
Source: Dropped by the Destroyer
Courtesy of Neb
Update: No longer crafted

Salamender
Increases life regeneration
The lower your life, the more effective
Source: Dropped by Salamanders
Transmuted from: Craw Claw
I wanted to make my own take on accessories for the "Underground Trio"
Salamanders, in real life, are known for their ability to regenerate, which is where the effect comes from.
The name is a portmanteau of Salamander and Mender

Stellar Accumulator
Enemies have a chance to drop a mana star when damaged
Stars dropped by this accessory are yellow-green in color, and only restore 25 mana
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Band of Mana Regeneration + 8x Demonite Bar or Crimtane Bar + 5x Shadow Scale or Tissue Sample
Courtesy of Neb
Another idea for a way to provide additional sources of mana.
This one was designed to compliment magnet variants in fights without minions to get star drops from.
Update: Recipe changed; No longer requires a Star Statue

Soul Accumulator
Enemies have a chance to drop a heart when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Band of Regeneration + 8x Demonite Bar or Crimtane Bar + 5x Shadow Scale or Tissue Sample
Counterpart to the Stellar Accumulator
Came about as I was brainstorming potential crafting recipes for the Stellar Accumulator.
Update: Recipe changed; No longer requires a Heart Statue

True Band of Regeneration
Increases life and mana regeneration
Crafted @ Demon Altar: Mana Regeneration Band + 3x Shadow Scale or Tissue Sample
Update: Crafting Recipe changed. Can now be crafted significantly earlier.

Combat Accessories
These accessories provide benefits to combat
Agony Stone
Increases your damage as your life decreases
Transmuted from: Putrid Scent (Credit to Clockwork17)
Inspired by Dark Souls' Red Tearstone Ring
I'm not good at numbers, so this is probably overkill, but I'd roughly put the increase at +1% damage per 20 missing life?

Woe Stone
Increases your defense as your life decreases
Transmuted from: Flesh Knuckles (Credit to Clockwork17)
Inspired by Dark Souls' Blue Tearstone Ring
Again, not good at numbers. Possibly +1 defense per 20 missing life?

Enchanted Scabbard
5% increased melee damage
10% increased melee weapon size
Crafted @ Demon Altar: Flinx Fur + 5x Demonite Bar or Crimtane Bar + 3x Fallen Star
Enchantment: Embiggen.

Ammo Pouch
10% increased chance not to consume ammo
Crafted @ Loom: Silk + 100x Arrows or Musket Balls

Feathered Pouch
10% increased ranged projectile velocity
Crafted @ Skymill: Ammo Pouch + Feather
Source: Found in Skyware Chests (credit to Clockwork17)
The velocity bonus applies to all ranged projectiles.
Update: No longer crafted. No longer reduces ammo consumption

Adorned Quiver
10% increased chance not to consume ammo
10% increased projectile velocity
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Ammo Pouch + Feathered Pouch
Update: Crafting recipe adjusted. No longer increases ranged damage.

Amber Earrings
2 Defense
Crafted @ Anvil: 12x Gold Bar or Platinum Bar + 5x Amber
Update: Now grants defense instead of increasing healing effectiveness

Band of Strength
Increases damage by 5%
Crafted @ Anvil: 12x Silver Bar or Tungsten Bar + 5x Diamond

Circlet of Clarity
Increases attack speed by 5%
Crafted @ Anvil: 12x Copper Bar or Tin Bar + 5x Emerald
Yes, attack speed. If it's feasable.

Ring of Fortune
Increases Critical Strike Chance by 5%
Increases luck
Crafted @ Anvil: 12x Gold Bar or Platinum Bar + 5x Sapphire

Gemstone Crown
2 Defense
5% Increased damage, attack speed, and critical strike chance
Increases movement speed and acceleration
Grants life regeneration
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Magiluminescence + Ring of Fortune + Circlet of Clarity + Band of Regeneration + Amber Earrings + Band of Strength

Charm of Warding
Increases defense for a short time after drinking a healing potion.
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Shackle + Philosopher's Stone
Another one of those accessories designed to give the Philosopher's Stone more utility.
Update: Effect modified. No longer increases defense while you have Potion Sickness.

Cosmic Emblem
Enemies have a chance to drop a mana star when damaged
Increases pickup range for mana stars
15% increased magic damage
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Stellar Accumulator + Celestial Emblem
Star Generator and Star Magnet, now in one convient accessory.

Craw Claw
7% increased damage
Reduces enemy defense on hits
Source: Dropped by Crawdads
Transmuted from: Shelly Shield
Another accessory for the "Underground Trio"
This one's inspired by Calamity's Craw Carapace, but is focused more on damage, rather than retaliation.
Could function similarly to Ichor, but the debuff should be called Craw Crushed

Sand Shark Tooth Necklace
Increases armor penetration by 10
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Shark Tooth Necklace + Avenger Emblem
Update: Now crafted with the Avenger Emblem (credit to Clockwork17)

Pigron Fang Necklace
Increases armor penetration by 5
Defeating an enemy grants increased life regeneration
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Sand Shark Tooth Necklace + Frost Core
Update: Now crafted with a Frost Core (credit to LisanPaez05)

Holy Shield
8 Defense
Grants immunity to knockback
Absorbs 25% of damage done to players on your team when above 25% life
Increases length of invincibility after taking damage for you and your team
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Paladin’s Shield + Cross Necklace
Thought it would be interesting to combine these two thematically similar items together.
Plus, it provides an additional way to assist your team in multiplayer!

Rally Banner
Increases the attack speed of your minions and sentries by 10%
Crafted @ Loom: 5x Silk + 2x Black Thread or Pink Thread + Feral Claws
Friends too slow? Cheer them on with this fashionable banner!

Raid Banner
Increases the attack speed of your minions and sentries by 10%
10% increases summon damage
Increases your max number of minions by 1
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Rally Banner + Necromantic Scroll

Nectar Flower
8% reduced mana cost
Automatically use mana potions when needed
Consuming a mana potion releases bees and douses the user in honey
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Mana Flower + Honey Comb
Note: Looks like a borage
For some reason I thought it would be fun if there were some more bee-themed accessories.
Especially if they worked a tad differently.

Resplendent Cross Necklace
Increases length of invincibility after taking damage
Releases bees and douses the user in honey when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Cross Necklace + Honey Comb
Do you have time to talk about our savior, Beesus?

Ring of Retaliation
Empowers your attacks for short time after taking damage
Crafted @ Hardmode Anvil: 5x Titanium Bar or Adamantite Bar + Turtle Shell
Inspired by Dark Souls' Leo Ring.
Can you tell I like Dark Souls?

Shelly Shield
4 Defense
Grants immunity to knockback
Increases defense while moving or airborne
Source: Dropped by Giant Shellies
Transmuted from: Salamender
The final accessory for the "Underground Trio"
Inspired by the defense of Shellies, especially while they're flying at you.

Spiked Shield
2 Defense
Grants immunity to knockback and fire blocks
Reflects damage back at the attacker
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Obsidian Shield + Spike
For when you want to take Thorns to the next logical step by putting it right in your hands.

Splintering Shield
2 Defense
Grants immunity to knockback and fire blocks
Reflects even more damage back at the attacker
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Spiked Shield + Wooden Spike
For when you want your spikes to hurt even more. Splinters are no joke.

Miscellaneous
These accessories don't quite fit in to any of the other categories.
Hostile Provocation
Increases enemy spawn rate and maximum enemies on-screen
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Water Candle + Megaphone
Wanted to wear your Water Candle? Now you can!
Combine them for even more chaos.

Lucky Charm
Increases Luck
"Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids!"
Source: Very rare drop from any kind of bunny. Drops more frequently from evil bunnies, and commonly from Gold Bunnies.
Please don't sacrifice your bunnies, they will be very displeased.

Mark of Torment
Increases all damage taken by 100%
“Prepare for trouble, and make it double!”
Source: Given by the Guide if the Moon Lord has been beaten in any world.
You may ask: Why? Some people are crazy, that's why. You know it'd be a challenge run staple.

Mechanical Goggles
Greatly improves vision while worn (Grants Biome Sight, Dangersense, Hunter, Night Owl, and Spelunker buffs)
Immunity to Darkness, Blackout, and Petrification
“I can see everything!”
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Goggles + Reflective Shades + 3x Hallowed Bar + 8x Soul of Sight
This one... wasn't a mech boss drop, actually.
I just though it would be funny if an accessory gave you all of the vision buffs at once.
Update: Remembered to add material quantities to the non-accessory recipe items.

Peace Offering
Reduces enemy spawn rate and maximum enemies on-screen
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Peace Candle + Jungle Rose
Make peace with the world by carrying this calming offering.

Expert Mode-Exclusive Accessories
These accessories are only available to characters in Expert Mode and above.
"Upgrades, people! Upgrades!"
Yeah, I know they probably don't like this kind of thing, but I was just having fun with it.

Cosmiluminant Insignia
Provides light while worn
Massively increases acceleration, movement speed, and jump speed
Grants infinite flight
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Magiluminescence + Soaring Insignia
Gotta go fast!

Cursed Eye Shield
4 Defense
Allows the player to dash into the enemy and projectiles
Double tap a direction
Enemies you dash into are inflicted with Cursed Inferno
Projectiles you dash into are converted into seeking bolts of cursed flame
Grants immunity to knockback, Cursed Inferno, Darkness, and Petrification
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Shield of Cthulhu + Cursed Lens + Reflective Shades
Thought it would be fun if there was a Twins-themed upgrade to the Shield of Cthulhu
For the Cursed Lens, refer to Part 1: Mech-Boss Madness
It's also vaguely inspired by the Mirror Shield from TLoZ.
The wording is slightly misleading. Technically, it would just destory the projectile, and create a new, friendly one in its place.

Destroyer Scarf
10 Defense
Reduces damage taken by 22%
Grants immunity to knockback, Weakness, and Broken Armor
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Worm Scarf + Mechanical Plating + Armor Bracing
What if the Worm Scarf had a Destroyer-themed upgrade?
For the Mechanical Plating, refer to Part 1: Mech-Boss Madness
Become the ultimate tank with this easily accessible 99% DR stacking method.
Seriously though, this thing's OP.

Gelatin Crown
Slimes become friendly
Releases volatile gelatin periodically that damages enemies
Crafted @ Solidifer: Royal Gel + Volatile Gelatin
Allows you commit slime crimes with no repurcussions, probably.

Heart of the Jungle
Summons spores over time that will damage enemies
Increases life regeneration
Greatly increases life regen when not moving
Immunity to Poisoned and Acid Venom
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Spore Sac + Shiny Stone + Bezoar + Chlorophyte
May you be blessed by the wildest of nature.
I'm running out of meaningful insight, if you couldn't tell.

Mechanical Brain
10 Defense
Reduces damage taken by 7%
Grants immunity to knockback, Slow, and Confusion
Has a chance to create illusions and dodge an attack
Temporarily increase critical chance after dodge
May confuse and slow nearby enemies after being struck
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Brain of Confusion + Mechanical Plating + The Plan
Courtesy of Neb
They came of the overall concept, I put some extra details into it.
For the Mechanical Plating, refer to Part 1: Mech-Boss Madness
This is upgraded with the Destoryer's accessory because there's no Mechanical Brain.

Prime Arms
Shoots metallic crossbones, bombs, and lasers while attacking
Immunity to Silence and Cursed
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Bone Glove + Prime Technology + Countercurse Mantra
What if there was a Skeletron Prime-themed upgrade to the Bone Glove?
For the Prime Technology, refer to Part 1: Mech-Boss Madness

Starry Stone
Allows mana regeneration while mana is being consumed
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Shiny Stone + Band of Mana Regeneration
Courtesy of Neb

The Passive-ist
Summons improved shadow hands, volatile gelatin, and spores to damage enemies.
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Bone Helm + Volatile Gelatin + Spore Sac
Why fight yourself, when you can let other things do it for you.
Name is a pun/portmanteau of Passive and Pacifist

Queen’s Wings
Allows flight and slow fall
Releases bees, causes stars to fall, douses the user in honey, and increases movement speed when damaged
Increases the strength of friendly bees and bee related weapons
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Bee Wings + Bee Cloak + Sweetheart Necklace + Hive Pack @ Tinkerer’s Workshop
Queen's Blessing bee upon you.

Trade-Off Accessories
This is a new category of accessory that provides significant benefits, but also have notable detriments to compensate.
Amulet of Incredible Vigor
Increases maximum life by 33%, but reduces movement speed by 30%
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Life Ring + 2x Dark Shard + Turtle Shell

Ancient Astral Flower
Reduces mana cost by 33%, but reduces maximum life by 25%
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Nature’s Gift + 2x Dark Shard + White Pearl

Emblem of Blinding Power
Increases all damage by 25%, but increases damage taken by 15%
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Any Emblem + 2x Dark Shard + Forbidden Fragment

Changes and Recipes
This section includes two recipes for existing accessories, and changes to how one functions.
Band of Regeneration
Can now also be crafted
Crafted @ Anvil: 12x Copper Bar or Tin Bar + 5x Ruby
Probably unnecessary, but it helps it fit in the Gem Crown

Cloud in a Bottle
Can now be crafted
Crafted @ Skymill: Bottle + 12x Cloud

Obsidian Rose (and upgrades)
Now halves the duration of all fire debuffs inflicted on the player.
Courtesy of Neb

Obsidian Horseshoe
Now grants 1 Defense

Legacy
This section contains accessories that have been removed for the original lists for various reasons.
They are included here for posterity.

Enviro-Boots
Allows flight, swimming, and super-fast running
Provides extra mobility on ice and extra speed on sand
Increases jump speed and allows auto-jump
Increases fall resistance
Flowers grow on the grass you walk on while holding [down]
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Amphibian Boots + Fairy Boots + Dunerider Boots + Flippers + Ice Skates
I had the idea that it might be cool if there was an alternate pair of high-end boots, so the Terraspark Boots weren't the end-all be-all...

Super Shoes
Allows flight, swimming, and super-fast running
Provides extra mobility on ice and extra speed on sand
Increases jump speed and allows auto-jump
Increases fall resistance and movement speed
Provides the ability to walk on water, honey, and lava
Grants immunity to fire blocks, 7 seconds of lava immunity, and reduces damage from touching lava
Flowers grow on the grass you walk on while holding [down]
‘Honey! Where are my Super Shoes?’
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Terraspark Boots + Enviro-Boots + Soul of Sight + Soul of Might + Soul of Fright
...Unfortunately, the original idea ended up overlapping a lot with the Terraspark Boots, so the end result was just putting it all together.
It makes for a fun tooltip gag though!

Worldly Charm
Turns the wearer into a werewolf at night, a merfolk when entering water, a salamander when entering lava, and a harpy while flying.
Minor increase to damage, melee speed, critical strike chance, life regeneration, defense, mining speed, and minion knockback
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Hecate’s Charm + Celestial Stone OR Celestial Shell + Down Cloak
And to complete the series, the worldly charm brings them all together for one shiny jamboree.

Purple Horseshoe Balloon
Allows the holder to double jump
Increases jump height and negates fall damage
Grants immunity to fire blocks
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Any Filled Balloon + Obsidian Horseshoe OR Any Basic Horseshoe Balloon + Obsidian Skull
I wanted to come up with an accessory to make the Obsidian Horseshoe less of a novelty or noob-trap.

Sienna Horseshoe Balloon
Increases jump height and negates fall damage
Grants immunity to fire blocks
Releases bees and douses the user in honey when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Amber Horseshoe Balloon + Obsidian Skull OR Honey Balloon + Obsidian Horseshoe
...and then I ended up making two!

Rainbow Balloon Bundle
Allows the holder to sextuple jump
Increases jump height
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Bundle of Balloons + Fart in a Balloon + Sharkron Balloon OR All 5 filled Balloon variants
But while I was making the previous two, I thought "what if there was an 'Ultimate Balloon?'"
So this was the first step.

Rainbow Horseshoe Balloon Bundle
Allows the holder to sextuple jump
Increases jump height and negates fall damage
Grants immunity to fire blocks
Releases bees and douses the user in honey when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Various combinations of all 5 Filled Balloon variants + Honey Balloon + Lucky Horseshoe + Obsidian Skull
...this was the second step...

Handheld Blimp
Allows flight and slow fall
Allows the user to sextuple jump
Increases jump height
Grants immunity to fire blocks
Releases bees and douses the user in honey when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Various combinations of all 5 Filled Balloon variants + Honey Balloon + Lucky Horseshoe + Obsidian Skull + Souls of Flight
...and this was the end goal.
You like balloons? I sure hope you do, for all this one is worth!

Bolstering Bandage
Increases maximum life by 25
Immunity to Poison and Bleeding
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Medicated Bandage + Life Fruit
And I thought, you know, it would be neat if some of the debuff immunity accessories could be used in other ways, instead of their sole purpose being to make the Ankh Charm.

Cosmic Flower
8% Reduced mana cost
Automatically use mana potions when needed
Enemies have a chance to drop mana stars when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Stellar Accumulator + Mana Flower

Stone of Suffering
Increases your damage and defense as your life decreases
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Agony Stone + Woe Stone

Leather Sheath
10% increased melee damage
Crafted @ Loom: Leather
I was working on my own takes on additional classes, when I realized that there are (almost) no accessories pre-hardmode that increase damage.
So I wanted to come up with a few.
Completely unrelated to this accessory, I don't intend to post those class designs any time soon, because they've all been done to death.

Leather Quiver
10% increased ranged damage
Crafted @ Loom: Leather
The ranged equivalent to the Leather Sheath
I know quivers aren't technically applicable to all ranged weapons but I think players can suspend their disbelief.

Brooch of Protection
1 Defense
Slightly increases the effectiveness of defense
Crafted @ Anvil: 12x Iron Bar or Lead Bar + 5x Amethyst
The increase to effectiveness should be 5-10%?
Resulting in 55-60%, 80-85%, and 105-110% defense effectiveness in Normal, Expert, and Master modes respectively.

Focusing Orb
10% increased magic damage
Crafted @ Furnace: Glass + Any Gem
Magic counterpart to the Leather Sheath
Name inspired by DnD's spellcasting focuses.

Brilliant Chrysanthemum
10% increased magic damage
8% reduced mana cost
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Focusing Orb + Nature’s Gift
Certain chrysanthemums are orb-shaped flowers, hence the choice.

Friendship Bracelet
10% increased summoning damage
+1 Max Minions
Crafted @ Anvil: White String + 10x Glass + 2x Any Gemstone + 2x Copper or Tin Bar
Summoning counterpart to the Leather Sheath
Lots of different materials comprised the beads on bracelets, hence the variety of used materials.

Duke’s Fang Necklace
Increases armor penetration by 15
Damaging an enemy grants increased life regeneration
Defeating an enemy grants further increased life regeneration
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Pigron Fang Necklace + Duke Fishron Mask
The Duke knows how to eat well!
The use of the mask is simply to avoid adding a new crafting material for a single item.

Gilded Flower Crown
Decreases mana costs by 8%
Slightly increases life regeneration
Grants immunity to lava and fire blocks
Automatically use mana potions when needed
Enemies are less likely to target you
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Flower Crown + Molten Skull + Putrid Scent + Mana Potion OR Arcane Flower + Molten Skull Rose + Jungle Rose
Everyone loves wearing enchanted flowers, right?

Legendary Hero’s Shield
15 Defense
Grants immunity to knockback, fire blocks, and most debuffs
Puts a shell around the owner when below 50% life that reduces damage by 25%
Absorbs 25% of damage done to players on your team when above 25% life
Enemies are more likely to target you
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Ankh Shield + Hero Shield + Frozen Shield
Why not just stick all the tanky shields together? What could go wrong?

Lihzard Sigil
Increases your max number of minions by 1
12% increased summon damage
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Pygmy Necklace + Avenger Emblem
Realized Summoner didn't have an Avenger Emblem upgrade, so I wanted to even things out.

Mechanical Arms
25% increased mining speed
15% increased attack speed
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Feral Claws + Ancient Chisel + Hallowed Bar + Soul of Fright
Like the Mechanical Heart, this was originally the accessory drop from Skeletron Prime.
Work out those arms!

Waxed Gauntlet
Increases melee knockback and melee attacks create bees
12% increased melee damage and speed
Enables auto swing for melee weapons
Increases the size of melee weapons
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Mechanical Glove + Honey Comb
Why use fire, when you can use bees instead?

Phoenix Feather
After taking fatal damage, you are immediately revived with 30% of your maximum health. This effect can only be triggered once every 5 minutes.
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Fire Feather + Philosopher's Stone
Inspired by the Phoenix Down from Final Fantasy.

The Retaliator
Empowers your attacks, increases your movement speed, douses you in honey, and spawns bees and stars when you take damage
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Any combination of Ring of Retaliation, Honey Comb, Panic Necklace and Star Cloak
This is probably too much, but who doesn't want to hit back hard?

Status Symbol
Increases your damage for every debuff you’re afflicted with
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Ankh Charm + Avenger Emblem + Dark Shard + Light Shard
Invert the power of the Ankh with this symbol, and use your pain to rise above your enemies.
I'll give a rough +5% damage per active debuff.
It could get crazy, sure, but you'd have to be crazy to make it that far anyway.

Changelog:
(3/30/25)
Feedback considered and implemented.
Credits applied where necessary.
Legacy tab added for overpowered, replaced, or removed suggestions.

A lot of these are cool, a lot of these are weird. Odd crafting recipes, some overpowered stuff, etc.

This is a lot to cover and it’s rather late where I live so I’ll tackle the individual flaws tomorrow and ones I really like.

Way too much overlap with Lava Charm
Worldly Charm
Turns the wearer into a werewolf at night, a merfolk when entering water, a salamander when entering lava, and a harpy while flying.
Minor increase to damage, melee speed, critical strike chance, life regeneration, defense, mining speed, and minion knockback
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Hecate’s Charm + Celestial Stone OR Celestial Shell + Down Cloak
And to complete the series, the worldly charm brings them all together for one shiny jamboree.
You absolutely dont want to buff the Celestial Shell, the Celestial Stone itself is one of the most overpowered items in the game, and the Celestial Shell just makes it even better for no good reason.

Purple Horseshoe Balloon
Allows the holder to double jump
Increases jump height and negates fall damage
Grants immunity to fire blocks
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Any Filled Balloon + Obsidian Horseshoe OR Any Basic Horseshoe Balloon + Obsidian Skull
I wanted to come up with an accessory to make the Obsidian Horseshoe less of a novelty or noob-trap
But this doesnt give any special use to the Obsidian Horseshoe, you only added a useless tinker that could've been used to make an actual Double Jump Balloon. This is even more of a noob trap than before
Sienna Horseshoe Balloon
Increases jump height and negates fall damage
Grants immunity to fire blocks
Releases bees and douses the user in honey when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Amber Horseshoe Balloon + Obsidian Skull OR Honey Balloon + Obsidian Horseshoe
...and then I ended up making two!
Two useless Balloon upgrades dont make a useful one.

Amber Earrings
Increases the effectiveness of healing by 10%
Crafted @ Anvil: Gold Bar or Platinum Bar + Amber
"healing" amounts to Healing Potions and Life regeneration. Everything else is too situational (Dropped Hearts) or too op for a little buff to matter (Lifesteal)

You need about 10 hp/s for this buff to be better than a Band of Regeneration, it's not good
Bolstering Bandage
Increases maximum life by 25
Immunity to Poison and Bleeding
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Medicated Bandage + Life Fruit
And I thought, you know, it would be neat if some of the debuff immunity accessories could be used in other ways, instead of their sole purpose being to make the Ankh Charm.

Charm of Vitality
Increases maximum life by 50
Increases life regeneration
Immunity to Poison and Bleeding
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Life Ring + Bolstering Bandage
i mean the whole purpose is to make the Ankh Charm, that is a whole crafting tree to make a Super-Accessory.

Both of these are really underpowered and there isn't that much more to say about them, Charm of Myths beats both and it's not locked to post mechs.

Crystal Astrolabe
10% of magic damage dealt is converted into mana
Source: Rarely dropped by Pirates
Courtesy of Neb
They wanted to provide additional ways to restore mana by inverting the "take damage to regain mana" effect.
The number itself is closer to a placeholder, but doesn't necessarily need to be shown.
It could even be a dynamic amount, so it doesn't stack into infinite mana when used by late-game mages.
this is a very, very bad idea given how DPS easily scales into the hundreds or thousands and your mana bar is barely around 300 max.

Vampire Fangs
10% of damage dealt is converted into healing
Source: Rarely dropped by Vampires
Something of a counterpart to the Crystal Astrolabe.
I thought it would be neat to have an accessory provide lifesteal.
Lifesteal has built-in caps so ideally this wouldn't be too overkill.
Said built-in cap is already borderline immortality, and even if it wasn't this still wouldn't be balanced at all

The point of vampire knives and spectre hood is to lose damage in exchange for great healing, if you give me great healing without losing damage, i have a broken item.
Mechanical Heart
Increases maximum life by 12%
Increases life regeneration
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Life Ring + 5x Hallowed Bar + 10x Soul of Might
Courtesy of Neb
If you read Part 1: Mech-Boss Madness, this was the original concept for The Destroyer's accessory drop in the original set of ideas I wrote up.
I wanted to keep it when I re-worked the Mech Boss drop concepts, so I made it craftable instead.
man you really like the life ring don't you
Stellar Accumulator
Enemies have a chance to drop mana stars when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Band of Mana Regeneration + Star Statue
Courtesy of Neb
Another idea for a way to provide additional sources of mana.
This one was designed to compliment magnet variants in fights without minions to get star drops from.
"Fights without minions to get star drops from" are what balances out the Celestial Magnet.

When you are killing enemies you get a lot of mana stars; with Celestial Magnet picking them up you restore so much mana that never run out. Something that constantly spawns mana stars without even having to kill an enemy will just be infinite mana period.
Soul Accumulator
Enemies have a chance to drop hearts when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Band of Regeneration + Heart Statue
Counterpart to the Stellar Accumulator
Came about as I was brainstorming potential crafting recipes for the Stellar Accumulator.
This will break the game in half when stacking high attack speed items and minions, you probably shouldn't try this.
True Band of Regeneration
Increases life and mana regeneration
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Band of Regeneration + Band of Mana Regeneration + 5x Chlorophyte Bar
I'm sure this idea's been had before, but combining both regeneration bands sound like something you should be able to do.
The Chlorophyte might be overkill, but I though the metal that grows like a plant would be a good "bonding agent".
It also allows both effects to potentially be stronger than their base counterparts.
This is honestly what the Band of Mana Regeneration should do, it barely does anything as is. This is not Chlorophyte tier.

Leather Sheath is better than feral claws (they give 2% more DPS, but Sheath applies to all melee weapons and not just swords), and overall these are way too easy to craft for how generally useful they'd be. Emblems are hardmode for a reason.
Friendship Bracelet
10% increased summoning damage
+1 Max Minions
Crafted @ Anvil: White String + 10x Glass + 2x Any Gemstone + 2x Copper or Tin Bar
Summoning counterpart to the Leather Sheath
Lots of different materials comprised the beads on bracelets, hence the variety of used materials.
This is just Necromantic Scroll, that is one of the best late game items at the earliest stage of the game.
Gemstone Crown
Increases a variety of stats
Grants life regeneration
Increases the effectiveness of healing and defense
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Brooch of Protection + Magiluminescence + Ring of Fortune + Circlet of Clarity + Band of Regeneration + Amber Earrings + Band of Strength
Dont think i dont know what you are doing here.

Since you've played Thorium you should already know this idea doesnt work, the final item is either way too overpowered or has to be nerfed to the point it doesn't really feel special anymore.

Sand Shark Tooth Necklace
Increases armor penetration by 10
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Shark Tooth Necklace + Forbidden Fragment
Maybe the Sand Sharks have sharper teeth? Or maybe it's just the forbidden power.

Pigron Fang Necklace
Increases armor penetration by 10
Defeating an enemy grants increased life regeneration
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Sand Shark Tooth Necklace + Ham Bat
Thought a series of upgrades to the Shark Tooth Necklace would be fun.
Pigrons are definitely related to sharks. Distantly.

Duke’s Fang Necklace
Increases armor penetration by 15
Damaging an enemy grants increased life regeneration
Defeating an enemy grants further increased life regeneration
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Pigron Fang Necklace + Duke Fishron Mask
The Duke knows how to eat well!
The use of the mask is simply to avoid adding a new crafting material for a single item.
We just need a Hardmode upgrade to the shark tooth necklace, forget the rest. It's very weird to use a Boss Mask in an item recipe.
Holy Shield
You know how Hero Shield is never used over Frozen Shield? Dont repeat the same problem.
What could go wrong?
no

Lihzard Sigil
Increases your max number of minions by 1
12% increased summon damage
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Pygmy Necklace + Avenger Emblem
Realized Summoner didn't have an Avenger Emblem upgrade, so I wanted to even things out.
this sounds good until you realize it's a copy of Necromantic scroll... you sort that out
Rally Banner
Increases the attack speed of your minions and sentries by 15%
Crafted @ Loom: Silk x3 + Feral Claws
Friends too slow? Cheer them on with this fashionable banner!
Raid Banner
Increases the attack speed of your minions and sentries by 12%
12% increases summon damage
Increases your max number of minions by 1
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Rally Banner + Lihzard Sigil
And this is just to tie the new summon accessories into a neat little package.
There is a difference between not being good with numbers/ingame balance, and not even looking at ingame context for items. These are much better versions of Summoner Emblem/Necromantic Scroll that you get much earlier.

Movement Accessories
These accessories primarily provide benefits to movement in various ways.
Cloak of Discord
Allows you to teleport to the location of the mouse
Double tap a direction
Overrides dashes
Causes the chaos state
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Any Vanity Cape or Cloak + Rod of Discord
Thought it would be neat to have an alternative option for using the Rod of Discord by giving it an accessory variant.
So that, should one still want to use it but want to free up the hotbar slot, they can wear it instead.
Seems cool enough, but the recipe is weird. Vanity capes are, well, vanity, and RoD is a tool. They won't go well with each other, so I suggest just making it completely separate. Maybe a QS drop.
I rather just shimmer it after making it a QS drop.

While Terrarian Salamanders don't have lava immunity, fire immunity is a common mythological element they have.
Seems cool

Seems cool enough, but I think the items should stick to being for the Celestial Shell.
Probably too good.
Seems cool, but Fairy Boots feel pointless here and Ice Skates are in TSparks already.
Too good; Souls also aren't really used for this kind of stuff, but Avenger Emblem makes me let it slide. Still makes it too good, though.
Purple Horseshoe Balloon
Allows the holder to double jump
Increases jump height and negates fall damage
Grants immunity to fire blocks
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Any Filled Balloon + Obsidian Horseshoe OR Any Basic Horseshoe Balloon + Obsidian Skull
I wanted to come up with an accessory to make the Obsidian Horseshoe less of a novelty or noob-trap.
Feels like this should be it's own thing... maybe "Firestorm in a Bottle," found similarly to Lava Charm. It would be added to the shimmer loop of Magma Stone & Lava Charm. I'd probably make it like "Flaming Balloon" and "Orange Horseshoe Balloon" respectively.
Sienna Horseshoe Balloon
Increases jump height and negates fall damage
Grants immunity to fire blocks
Releases bees and douses the user in honey when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Amber Horseshoe Balloon + Obsidian Skull OR Honey Balloon + Obsidian Horseshoe
...and then I ended up making two!
Hot & Honey Balloons
Form: Accessory
Obtaining: Honey Balloon + Flaming Balloon @ Tinkerer's Workshop
Effects: Combines Effects

Hot & Honey Horseshoe Balloons
Form: Accessory
Obtaining: [Any combination of] Honey Balloon + Flaming Balloon + Obsidian Horseshoe
Effects: Combines Effects

*Amber Balloon now requires Obsidian Horseshoe and grants immunity to fire blocks
Rainbow Balloon Bundle
Allows the holder to sextuple jump
Increases jump height
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Bundle of Balloons + Fart in a Balloon + Sharkron Balloon OR All 5 filled Balloon variants
But while I was making the previous two, I thought "what if there was an 'Ultimate Balloon?'"
So this was the first step.

Rainbow Horseshoe Balloon Bundle
Allows the holder to sextuple jump
Increases jump height and negates fall damage
Grants immunity to fire blocks
Releases bees and douses the user in honey when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Various combinations of all 5 Filled Balloon variants + Honey Balloon + Lucky Horseshoe + Obsidian Skull
...this was the second step...

Handheld Blimp
Allows flight and slow fall
Allows the user to sextuple jump
Increases jump height
Grants immunity to fire blocks
Releases bees and douses the user in honey when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Various combinations of all 5 Filled Balloon variants + Honey Balloon + Lucky Horseshoe + Obsidian Skull + Souls of Flight
...and this was the end goal.
You like balloons? I sure hope you do, for all this one is worth!
BoHB was good enough, this is just absurd.

Crafted @ Workbench: Compass + 1 of each gem
My friend Neb prompted the creation of this one, but wasn't expressly responsible for the concept.
The Shimmer can be a nightmare to locate, and progression important, so this is for those who don't like aimless digging.
Seems cool, but I'd change Glistening Compass to include Gold/Platinum rather than a Compass so that it stays in the Shellphone tree.
Health and Mana Accessories
These accessories provide benefits in the form of bonuses to health and mana.
Amber Earrings
Increases the effectiveness of healing by 10%
Crafted @ Anvil: Gold Bar or Platinum Bar + Amber
You'll see the end result of this one in the Combat section, but I wanted a set of gems-related accessories.
And one that wasn't weird single-digit damage increases like Thorium's.
No offense Thorium devs, but your choices confound me.
See @J Bame 's comment
Life Ring
Increases maximum life by 20
Increases life regeneration
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Band of Regeneration + Life Crystal
This one, and its follow-ups, were also prompted by my friend Neb.
They thought it would be cool if there were accessories that increased your maximum life, like how there are accessories that increase your maximum mana.
The actual details were all me, though.
I think this should be it's own thing to combine with Band of Regen rather than just a cheap buff.
See @J Bame
Charm of Vitality
Increases maximum life by 50
Increases life regeneration
Immunity to Poison and Bleeding
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Life Ring + Bolstering Bandage
See @J Bame
Charm of Legends
Provides mana regeneration and reduces the potency of mana sickness by 25%
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Band of Mana Regeneration + Philosopher’s Stone
By similar logic, I wanted to make the Philosopher's Stone useful beyond the Charm of Myths.
And to clarify, the reduced potency effect should affect both the "stacks" granted by mana potions, and the maximum stacks of the buff.
Keep the Philosopher's Stone where it is. My suggestion relating to this was dropped in the HM dungeon.
See @J Bame
Vampire Fangs
10% of damage dealt is converted into healing
Source: Rarely dropped by Vampires
Something of a counterpart to the Crystal Astrolabe.
I thought it would be neat to have an accessory provide lifesteal.
Lifesteal has built-in caps so ideally this wouldn't be too overkill.
See @J Bame
Flower Crown
Decreases mana cost by 8%
Slightly increases life regeneration
Reduces damage from touching lava
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Nature's Gift + Jungle Rose + Obsidian Rose
I thought it would be fun if there was an accessory that combined all the flowers.
As for the life regeneration aspect, my thought process is that the Jungle Rose has latent magical abilities that can be activated through proximity to other magical sources.
This has a Hardmode upgrade, detailed in the Combat section below.
Jungle Rose is vanity, but maybe adding an effect to it and having this isn't such a bad idea.
Souls are already iffy, but Bars should not be used in this sense. I also don't like it just including the Life Ring; tbh this seems unnecessary.
Salamender
Increases life regeneration
The lower your life, the more effective
Source: Dropped by Salamanders
I wanted to make my own take on accessories for the "Underground Trio"
Salamanders, in real life, are known for their ability to regenerate, which is where the effect comes from.
The name is a portmanteau of Salamander and Mender
Seems cool, but in 1/3 of worlds this is impossible to get.
Star Statues should not be used in crafting, but this is cool.
Same thing as above.
Cosmic Flower
8% Reduced mana cost
Automatically use mana potions when needed
Enemies have a chance to drop mana stars when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Stellar Accumulator + Mana Flower
Seems cool, but Mana Flower doesn't need another upgrade line. Add it to the cuffs or one of your other suggestions.
Chlorophyte is unnecessary and weird and Mana Regen is already Regen + Starpower
Combat Accessories
These accessories provide benefits to combat
Agony Stone
Increases your damage as your life decreases
Source: 10x Demonite Bar + Putrid Scent
Inspired by Dark Souls' Red Tearstone Ring (But obviously this one is purple)
I'm not good at numbers, so this is probably overkill, but I'd roughly put the increase at +1% damage per 20 missing life?
Make it a different drop because-- although I like the concept-- the recipe is awful. You don't just add bars you get way before an item to make it different. Maybe shimmer? Crafting it from scratch with Cursed Flames?
Woe Stone
Increases your defense as your life decreases
Source: Crimtane Bar + Flesh Knuckles
Inspired by Dark Souls' Blue Tearstone Ring (But obviously this one is red.)
Again, not good at numbers. Possibly +1 defense per 20 missing life?
See above
Stone of Suffering
Increases your damage and defense as your life decreases
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Agony Stone + Woe Stone
Cross evil biome stuff is rather stupid. Keep things able to be gotten in one world.
So a cheaper Warrior Emblem that isn't that much worse. At least make it interesting. This is also Corruption exclusive, so at least add a Crimson equivalent.
Enchanted Scabbard
10% increased melee damage
10% increased melee weapon size
Crafted @ Demon Altar: Leather Sheath + 5x Demonite Bar or Crimtane Bar + 3x Fallen Star
In case anyone's curious, sheaths and scabbards are similar blade covers.
Sheaths are typically made of less rigid materials like leather, while scabbards are made of more rigid materials like metals.
Oh, yeah, and the enchantment makes the melee weapons bigger, I guess.
Stackability: questionable.
Like I've said before: these recipes aren't good. Maybe add a different accessory that combines into this with the Sheath.
Leather Quiver
10% increased ranged damage
Crafted @ Loom: Leather
The ranged equivalent to the Leather Sheath
I know quivers aren't technically applicable to all ranged weapons but I think players can suspend their disbelief.
So these are just worse emblems? Idk...

Anyway it's still Corruption exclusive.
Ammo Pouch
10% increased chance not to consume ammo
Crafted @ Loom: Silk + 100x Arrows or Musket Balls
I like it
Feathered Pouch
10% increased chance not to consume ammo
10% increased ranged projectile velocity
Crafted @ Skymill: Ammo Pouch + Feather
The velocity bonus applies to all ranged projectiles.
Feels weird. Rather just a sky chest accessory that does this.
Adorned Quiver
10% increased ranged damage
10% increased chance not to consume ammo
10% increased projectile velocity
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Leather Quiver + Feathered Pouch
The important question is "Are quivers stackable?"
I'd say no, but take your pick.
This is likely too good for pre-boss, and no this should 100% not be stackable. No accessories are.
Focusing Orb
10% increased magic damage
Crafted @ Furnace: Glass + Any Gem
Magic counterpart to the Leather Sheath
Name inspired by DnD's spellcasting focuses.
Good, but still probably unnecessary like I said above.
Brilliant Chrysanthemum
10% increased magic damage
8% reduced mana cost
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Focusing Orb + Nature’s Gift
Certain chrysanthemums are orb-shaped flowers, hence the choice.
Yet again, there's enough Nature's gift branches
Friendship Bracelet
10% increased summoning damage
+1 Max Minions
Crafted @ Anvil: White String + 10x Glass + 2x Any Gemstone + 2x Copper or Tin Bar
Summoning counterpart to the Leather Sheath
Lots of different materials comprised the beads on bracelets, hence the variety of used materials.
See @J Bame
Band of Strength
Increases damage by 5%
Crafted @ Anvil: 12x Silver Bar or Tungsten Bar + 5x Diamond

Brooch of Protection
1 Defense
Slightly increases the effectiveness of defense
Crafted @ Anvil: 12x Iron Bar or Lead Bar + 5x Amethyst
The increase to effectiveness should be 5-10%?
Resulting in 55-60%, 80-85%, and 105-110% defense effectiveness in Normal, Expert, and Master modes respectively.

Circlet of Clarity
Increases attack speed by 5%
Crafted @ Anvil: 12x Copper Bar or Tin Bar + 5x Emerald
Yes, attack speed. If it's feasable.

Ring of Fortune
Increases Critical Strike Chance by 5%
Increases luck
Crafted @ Anvil: 12x Gold Bar or Platinum Bar + 5x Sapphire

Gemstone Crown
Increases a variety of stats
Grants life regeneration
Increases the effectiveness of healing and defense
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Brooch of Protection + Magiluminescence + Ring of Fortune + Circlet of Clarity + Band of Regeneration + Amber Earrings + Band of Strength
See @J Bame
Charm of Warding
Increases defense while you have the Potion Sickness debuff
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Shackle + Philosopher's Stone
Another one of those accessories designed to give the Philosopher's Stone more utility.
You pretty much always have potion sickness
Cosmic Emblem
Enemies have a chance to drop mana stars when damaged
Increases pickup range for mana stars
15% increased magic damage
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Stellar Accumulator + Celestial Emblem
Star Generator and Star Magnet, now in one convient accessory.
Cool
Craw Claw
7% increased damage
Reduces enemy defense on hits
Source: Dropped by Crawdads
Another accessory for the "Underground Trio"
This one's inspired by Calamity's Craw Carapace, but is focused more on damage, rather than retaliation.
Could function similarly to Ichor, but the debuff should be called Craw Crushed
Only accessible in 1/3 of worlds
Sand Shark Tooth Necklace
Increases armor penetration by 10
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Shark Tooth Necklace + Forbidden Fragment
Maybe the Sand Sharks have sharper teeth? Or maybe it's just the forbidden power.
Forbidden Fragment is random, just combine it with Avenger Emblem
Pigron Fang Necklace
Increases armor penetration by 10
Defeating an enemy grants increased life regeneration
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Sand Shark Tooth Necklace + Ham Bat
Thought a series of upgrades to the Shark Tooth Necklace would be fun.
Pigrons are definitely related to sharks. Distantly.
That's a weapon + accessory. No.
Duke’s Fang Necklace
Increases armor penetration by 15
Damaging an enemy grants increased life regeneration
Defeating an enemy grants further increased life regeneration
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Pigron Fang Necklace + Duke Fishron Mask
The Duke knows how to eat well!
The use of the mask is simply to avoid adding a new crafting material for a single item.
That is a vanity item + random material + weapon + accessory. No.
Gilded Flower Crown
Decreases mana costs by 8%
Slightly increases life regeneration
Grants immunity to lava and fire blocks
Automatically use mana potions when needed
Enemies are less likely to target you
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Flower Crown + Molten Skull + Putrid Scent + Mana Potion OR Arcane Flower + Molten Skull Rose + Jungle Rose
Everyone loves wearing enchanted flowers, right?
The first one was fine on its own.
Holy Shield

Rally Banner
Increases the attack speed of your minions and sentries by 15%
Crafted @ Loom: Silk x3 + Feral Claws
Friends too slow? Cheer them on with this fashionable banner!

See @J Bame for these
Mechanical Arms
25% increased mining speed
15% increased attack speed
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Feral Claws + Ancient Chisel + Hallowed Bar + Soul of Fright
Like the Mechanical Heart, this was originally the accessory drop from Skeletron Prime.
Work out those arms!
Only Melee has that stat, and the Bar/Soul thing I said in the destroyer segment. Just make them drops at this point or don't add them at all.
Still, nature's gift has enough branches.
Resplendent Cross Necklace
Increases length of invincibility after taking damage
Releases bees and douses the user in honey when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Cross Necklace + Honey Comb
Do you have time to talk about our savior, Beesus?
Random but okay
Waxed Gauntlet
Increases melee knockback and melee attacks create bees
12% increased melee damage and speed
Enables auto swing for melee weapons
Increases the size of melee weapons
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Mechanical Glove + Honey Comb
Why use fire, when you can use bees instead?
Just add to the already broken stack of gloves, alright.
Way too good.
Ring of Retaliation
Empowers your attacks for short time after taking damage
Crafted @ Hardmode Anvil: Titanium Bar or Adamantite Bar + Turtle Shell
Inspired by Dark Souls' Leo Ring.
Can you tell I like Dark Souls?
Cool.
Too much, feels weird.
Shelly Shield
4 Defense
Grants immunity to knockback
Increases defense while moving or airborne
Source: Dropped by Giant Shellies
The final accessory for the "Underground Trio"
Inspired by the defense of Shellies, especially while they're flying at you.
Yet again, only available in 1/3od worlds
Spiked Shield
2 Defense
Grants immunity to knockback and fire blocks
Reflects damage back at the attacker
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Obsidian Shield + Spike
For when you want to take Thorns to the next logical step by putting it right in your hands.
Just make a new accessory with spikes alone
Splintering Shield
2 Defense
Grants immunity to knockback and fire blocks
Reflects even more damage back at the attacker
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Spiked Shield + Wooden Spike
For when you want your spikes to hurt even more. Splinters are no joke.
Just make a new accessory with wooden spikes alone
Status Symbol
Increases your damage for every debuff you’re afflicted with
Crafted @ Tinkerer's Workshop: Ankh Charm + Avenger Emblem + Dark Shard + Light Shard
Invert the power of the Ankh with this symbol, and use your pain to rise above your enemies.
I'll give a rought +5% damage per active debuff.
It could get crazy, sure, but you'd have to be crazy to make it that far anyway.
Seems cool, but it should be unrelated to these other accessories.
Bad recipe, cool idea. This happens a lot.
Lucky Charm
Increases Luck
Defeated enemies have a chance to drop double loot which scales with your luck
Source: Very rare drop from any kind of bunny. Drops more frequently from evil bunnies, and commonly from Gold Bunnies.
Please don't sacrifice your bunnies, they will be very displeased.
Make it a Rabbit's Foot. Also the second thing is overkill.
Why not
Mechanical Goggles
Greatly improves vision while worn (Grants Biome Sight, Dangersense, Hunter, Night Owl, and Spelunker buffs)
Immunity to Darkness, Blackout, and Petrification
“I can see everything!”
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Goggles + Reflective Shades + Hallowed Bar + Soul of Sight
This one... wasn't a mech boss drop, actually.
I just though it would be funny if an accessory gave you all of the vision buffs at once.
Remove the Shades and it's kinda cool.
Peace Offering
Reduces enemy spawn rate and maximum enemies on-screen
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Peace Candle + Jungle Rose
Make peace with the world by carrying this calming offering.
Bad recipe, cool idea. This happens a lot.

Didn't read these, but like you said the concept itself is flawed.
Bad recipe, cool idea.

Ancient Astral Flower
Reduces mana cost by 33%, but reduces maximum life by 25%
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Nature’s Gift + 2x Dark Shard + White Pearl
Cool, probably bad though. IDK.

Bad recipe, cool idea. This happens a lot.

Emblem of Blinding Power
Increases all damage by 25%, but increases damage taken by 15%
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Any Emblem + 2x Dark Shard + Forbidden Fragment
Bad recipe, cool idea. This happens a lot.
Changes and Recipes
This section includes two recipes for existing accessories, and changes to how one functions.
Band of Regeneration
Can now also be crafted
Crafted @ Anvil: 12x Copper Bar or Tin Bar + 5x Ruby
Probably unnecessary, but it helps it fit in the Gem Crown

Cloud in a Bottle
Can now be crafted
Crafted @ Skymill: Bottle + 12x Cloud

Obsidian Rose (and upgrades)
Now halves the duration of all fire debuffs inflicted on the player.
Courtesy of Neb
These seem cool.

I didn't give much detail a lot as this was a lot, so let me know if you have questions!

Thanks for the feedback!
Though I think you lost some of your notes, Bame?
Way too much overlap with Lava Charm
All of these are also obtained later than the Lava Charm, and Lava damage kinda becomes a non-issue really quick, so I don't see the issue?

You absolutely dont want to buff the Celestial Shell, the Celestial Stone itself is one of the most overpowered items in the game, and the Celestial Shell just makes it even better for no good reason.
I would never have imagined that the thing I only ever use when I'm playing a melee build was overpowered.
But, fair enough.

But this doesnt give any special use to the Obsidian Horseshoe, you only added a useless tinker that could've been used to make an actual Double Jump Balloon. This is even more of a noob trap than before
Two useless Balloon upgrades dont make a useful one.
Except for that they're both options for making the Handheld Blimp I detailed three items later?

i mean the whole purpose is to make the Ankh Charm, that is a whole crafting tree to make a Super-Accessory.
I just think it's neat when things have more than one purpose.

man you really like the life ring don't you
Yes.

this is a very, very bad idea given how DPS easily scales into the hundreds or thousands and your mana bar is barely around 300 max.
Fights without minions to get star drops from are what balances out the Celestial Magnet.

When you are killing enemies you get a lot of mana starts, with Celestial Magnet picking them up for you, you restore so much mana that it basically never runs out. Something that constantly spawns mana stars without even having to kill an enemy will just be infinite mana period, 100 mana per star is a ridiculous amoun.
I asked my friend, and they said "the effects of mana sickness are negligable on DPS with appropriate mage gear in hardmode. you effectively already have unlimited mana"

This is honestly what the Band of Mana Regeneration should do, it barely does anything as is. This is not Chlorophyte tier.
Hey, that's valid. I did say the Chlorophyte was probably overkill.

This is just Necromantic Scroll, that is one of the best late game items at the earliest stage of the game.
Oh! I'm stupid!
Dont think i dont know what you are doing here.

Since you've played Thorium you probably know this idea doesnt work, the final item is either way too overpowered or has to be nerfed to the point it doesn't really feel special anymore.
I did allude directly to this in the notes for the Amber Earring, unless that note got eaten somewhere along the way.
But that's why I tried to make it not the same. Though I suppose it comes across as a weaker Celestial Stone in the end.

We just need a Hardmode upgrade to the shark tooth necklace, that's all we need
I can feel the sarcasm oozing off this one, ha! Love it.
I suppose I'm rather bad at going too far.

You know how Hero Shield is never used over Frozen Shield (in singleplayer)? Dont repeat the same problem
No, I don't, actually. Does everything have to singleplayer oriented, though?

this sounds good until you realize it's a copy of Necromantic scroll... you sort that out
There is a difference between not being good with numbers/ingame balance, and not even looking at ingame context for items. These are much better versions of Summoner Emblem/Necromantic Scroll that you get much earlier.
Oh! I'm stupid!
@#%*!

I was actually referencing items, I just simply did not process this fact at all, somehow.
I'll take these back to the drawing board right away!

Maybe a QS drop.
Good idea!

Also good ideas!

Seems cool, but Fairy Boots feel pointless here and Ice Skates are in TSparks already.
Fair enough on the Fairy Boots. This (and the Super Shoes), ended up overlapping too much with the Terraspark Boots in the original idea, so they end up not great overall.

Seems cool, but I'd change Glistening Compass to include Gold/Platinum rather than a Compass so that it stays in the Shellphone tree.
Definitely valid!

I think this should be it's own thing to combine with Band of Regen rather than just a cheap buff.
A previous iteration of this was, but it felt like it needed something else. I'll look into readjusting it, though!
This is also Corruption exclusive
The intention is for this to pair with the Leather drop change I listed in Part 7, but I'll make that clearer later.

no this should 100% not be stackable
The stacking note was specifically in reference to it potentially stacking with the Leather Quiver, not itself.

just combine it with Avenger Emblem
The use of the Forbidden Fragment was because Sand Sharks don't have a unique drop, but this is probably better anyway.

Cloak of Discord
Allows you to teleport to the location of the mouse
Double tap a direction
This way to teleport would cause a lot of undesired teleports, Rod of Discord being an independent item is a security measure

Feather Hairpin
Greatly extends flight time with wings, and transforms the user into a Harpy while flying.
YES

Shed Cloak
Grants the wearer immunity to lava, and transforms them into a Salamander while in lava.
This is interesting, maybe it could be a craft with the Lava Charm and the Neptune's Shell rather than Shadow Chest's Item, it would make WoF easier

Neptune's Shell in 1.1 (Hardmode Update) was craftable in Pre HM before the Eclipse Event was introduced in 1.2 (Jungle Update) with Plantera and Golem

Down Cloak
Grants the wearer lava immunity and extended flight time with wings.
Transforms the user into a Harpy while flying, and a Salamander while in Lava.
Worldly Charm
Turns the wearer into a werewolf at night, a merfolk when entering water, a salamander when entering lava, and a harpy while flying.
This is too much, large recipes are a headache, but it would be a good alternative to the Celestial Shell if the Down Clock fuse with other Acc that isn't Celestial Stone

Enviro-Boots
Terra sparks exist for fan service, Red does not like the item. Not sure he would be happy to add Terra Sparks 2.0

Purple Horseshoe Balloon
Allows the holder to double jump
Increases jump height and negates fall damage
Grants immunity to fire blocks
I believe Obsidian Horseshoe is disappearing next update, but this would revive the item. 100% Sup

Also, It shall be added to the Balloon Bundle recipe

Rainbow Balloon Bundle
Allows the holder to sextuple jump
Increases jump height
This is unnecessary, Balloon Bundles already grants 3 extra jumps

6 is more and is better, obviously, but exists as an advantage against Wings proving faster ascent vertical movement. What the majority of wings lack of

Encyclopedia
While in the player’s inventory, allows access to the Guide’s Crafting menu from anywhere.
Crafted @ Bookcase + Crystal Ball: 10 Books + Guide Voodoo Doll
This is... Interesting. Not gonna lie, I like it, but is a bit unnecessary

Glistening Compass
While equipped or in the player's inventory, helps guide them towards the nearest pool of shimmer.
Crafted @ Workbench: Compass + 1 of each gem
This very helpful, but I think is better add a signal in surface of the location of the Aether biome as the Sword Shrine

Amber Earrings
Increases the effectiveness of healing by 10%
Crafted @ Anvil: Gold Bar or Platinum Bar + Amber
I love this, I would change to 2 Rubies or 2 Ambers + the Bar

Life Ring
Increases maximum life by 20
Increases life regeneration

Bolstering Bandage
Increases maximum life by 25
Immunity to Poison and Bleeding

Charm of Vitality
Increases maximum life by 50
Increases life regeneration
Immunity to Poison and Bleeding

Charm of Legends
Provides mana regeneration and reduces the potency of mana sickness by 25%
I love this line of Acc

Stellar Accumulator
Enemies have a chance to drop mana stars when damaged

Soul Accumulator
Enemies have a chance to drop hearts when damaged
This 2 are great Pre HM Acc, the other 2 upgrades I wouldn't include it. No all new Acc have to create a Super Tree of Acc

Agony Stone
Increases your damage as your life decreases
Source: 10x Demonite Bar + Putrid Scent
Inspired by Dark Souls' Red Tearstone Ring (But obviously this one is purple)
I'm not good at numbers, so this is probably overkill, but I'd roughly put the increase at +1% damage per 20 missing life?

Woe Stone
Increases your defense as your life decreases
Source: Crimtane Bar + Flesh Knuckles
Inspired by Dark Souls' Blue Tearstone Ring (But obviously this one is red.)
Again, not good at numbers. Possibly +1 defense per 20 missing life?
These are great

Stone of Suffering
Increases your damage and defense as your life decreases
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Agony Stone + Woe Stone
No sup

Leather Sheath
10% increased melee damage
Crafted @ Loom: Leather.

Enchanted Scabbard
10% increased melee damage
10% increased melee weapon size

Leather Quiver
10% increased ranged damage

Ammo Pouch
10% increased chance not to consume ammo

Feathered Pouch
10% increased chance not to consume ammo
10% increased ranged projectile velocity

Adorned Quiver
10% increased ranged damage
10% increased chance not to consume ammo
10% increased projectile velocity

Focusing Orb
10% increased magic damage

Brilliant Chrysanthemum
10% increased magic damage
8% reduced mana cost

Friendship Bracelet
10% increased summoning damage
+1 Max Minions
All these are too easy to make
Wall of Flesh drop the Class Emblems specifically to prevent players to get too strong before HM, that's why it drops them, Class Emblems are the key item for each Class

Band of Strength
Increases damage by 5%
Crafted @ Anvil: 12x Silver Bar or Tungsten Bar + 5x Diamond
This is good, no op, easy to craft, and replaceable when you get a better Acc. Is balanced

Brooch of Protection
1 Defense
Slightly increases the effectiveness of defense
You have no idea how OP is this in Classic and Expert
Isn't in Master cause the damage dealt by enemies is enormous
But in Classic and Expert is very strong

Circlet of Clarity
Increases attack speed by 5%

Ring of Fortune
Increases Critical Strike Chance by 5%
Increases luck
Same response as the Strength Band, is balanced

Sand Shark Tooth Necklace
Increases armor penetration by 10

Pigron Fang Necklace
Increases armor penetration by 10
Defeating an enemy grants increased life regeneration
I love the concept. But I would make the Pigeon Fang Necklace an other possible craft from the Shark Tooth Necklace rather than a upgrade of the Sand Shark Tooth Necklace, maybe made with Ice Cores and granting the same AP of the Shark Tooth Necklace

Gilded Flower Crown
Decreases mana costs by 8%
Slightly increases life regeneration etc
Unnecessary item

Rally Banner
Increases the attack speed of your minions and sentries by 15%

Lihzard Sigil
Increases your max number of minions by 1
12% increased summon damage
Raid Banner
Increases the attack speed of your minions and sentries by 12%
12% increases summon damage
Increases your max number of minions by 1
This I like it a lot, summoner has not an "own Acc tree". The Rally Banner is too easy to craft, I would replace the 3 Silk for 3 Flinx Fur

Is a funny Acc, but not sure is needed actually at that point of the game tbh

Nectar Flower
8% reduced mana cost
Automatically use mana potions when needed
Consuming a mana potion releases bees and douses the user in honey
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Mana Flower + Honey Comb
Note: Looks like a borage
For some reason I thought it would be fun if there were some more bee-themed accessories.
Especially if they worked a tad differently.
YES

Resplendent Cross Necklace
Increases length of invincibility after taking damage
Releases bees and douses the user in honey when damaged
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Cross Necklace + Honey Comb
Do you have time to talk about our savior, Beesus?
YES

Waxed Gauntlet
Increases melee knockback and melee attacks create bees
12% increased melee damage and speed
Enables auto swing for melee weapons
Increases the size of melee weapons
At this point, unless you have the Hive Pack, Bees are pretty weak

Phoenix Feather
After taking fatal damage, you are immediately revived with 30% of your maximum health. This effect can only be triggered once every 5 minutes.
Now, because Hardcore

Ring of Retaliation
Empowers your attacks for short time after taking damage
Seems good, maybe a 10% bonus for 5-10 seconds(?

The Retaliator
Empowers your attacks, increases your movement speed, douses you in honey, and spawns bees and stars when you take damage

This is probably too much, but who doesn't want to hit back hard?
Is too much, as you said

Shelly Shield
4 Defense
Grants immunity to knockback
Increases defense while moving or airborne
Source: Dropped by Giant Shellies
The final accessory for the "Underground Trio"
Inspired by the defense of Shellies, especially while they're flying at you.
Seems fine always the Defense while air is +2 or +4

Spiked Shield
2 Defense
Grants immunity to knockback and fire blocks
Reflects damage back at the attacker
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Obsidian Shield + Spike
Hmm, maybe "Cobalt Shield" instead of "Obsidian Shield"

Splintering Shield
2 Defense
Grants immunity to knockback and fire blocks
Reflects even more damage back at the attacker
Crafted @ Tinkerer’s Workshop: Spiked Shield + Wooden Spike
For when you want your spikes to hurt even more. Splinters are no joke.
Cool upgrade

Status Symbol
Increases your damage for every debuff you’re afflicted with
Unless you use a Red's Potion or fight an Army full of Bats, this is useless

Holy Shield

Legendary Hero’s Shield
These are unnecessary
The Holy Shield is way worse than the Frozen Shield
And the Legendary Hero's Shield is OP

About Miscellaneous, except for the Googles, I like all of them

Expert Acc are not meant to be material and all of them are very strong Acc the way they are and in the moment you get them. Is a 100% No Sup

Trade-Off Accessories
I like the concept of Sacrifice and Benefits Items, not these Acc, but I like the concept

Band of Regeneration
Can now also be crafted
Crafted @ Anvil: 12x Copper Bar or Tin Bar + 5x Ruby
Probably unnecessary, but it helps it fit in the Gem Crown

Cloud in a Bottle
Can now be crafted
Crafted @ Skymill: Bottle + 12x Cloud

Obsidian Rose (and upgrades)
Now halves the duration of all fire debuffs inflicted on the player.
Is more probably what you get all of these in Chest before you get the items to craft them, and since are not rare acc, these recipes are unnecessary

Unless you are in Expert or higher, the Obsidian Rose is useless
Another complain is that it would make easier HM Corruption but no HM Crimson

Flower Boots are a vanity item. Flipper is a useless item past the early game. Ice Skates can be slightly useful early game in the Ice biome, but still very useless. Combining useless items together is not fun or a good idea since it doesn't really add anything to the resulting item. Instead, we should focus on improving the useless items by buffing them. Most of them need some kind of rework to be buffed since fundamentally items like Ice Skates and Flipper can't be buffed by simply improving the already existing effects, they need some additional effect to really become useful.

Amphibian Boots are an excellent item. 30 mph running speed + 32% increased jump speed is really useful.

Spectre Boots (or Lightning Boots, Frostspark Boots and Terraspark Boots, they are all the same basically) are a sidegrade to Amphibian Boots in Pre-Hardmode.

In Hardmode Amphibian Boots are better since that's when the increased jump speed and height is much more needed. There's also the fact that using Wings with any Rocket Boots accessory turns the normally 1.17 seconds of Rocket Boot flight into 0.7 seconds of extra wing flight time instead. Wings ascend slower than Rocket Boot flight as well. So Spectre Boots basically get nerfed in Hardmode since that's when (most people) start using Wings. Me personally? I use Bundle of Balloons, part of the reason is so I can use my Rocket Boot flight. I also like using the Terraspark Boots for most of the game even if it's not completely optimal since they are my favorite item. Sometimes I just stick to mounts and keep them as vanity in the vanity accessory slot.

Anyway, combining Spectre Boots with Amphibian Boots is basically the same thing as combining Amphibian Boots and Terraspark Boots. You're combining two really useful accessories, that are sidegrades, together in Pre-Hardmode. Rocket Boot flight, +32% jump speed, 30 mph running speed are all really useful in Pre-Hardmode (the rest of the effects Terraspark Boots have are really not that useful). +32% jump speed and 30 mph running speed is already really good in Pre-Hardmode (and Hardmode) for one accessory. Amphibian Boots really don't need the buff by giving them Rocket Boot flight.

I think the way to go here is to first of all, not combine everything into one item. Terraspark Boots already contain a ton of items, going even further is not a good idea at all. Buff the bad items. Make the Ice Skates a useful accessory by allowing them to skate while grounded, increasing speed by 15%, for example. This would make players actually want to get the Ice Skates and make the upgrade from Lightning Boots to Frostspark Boots.

All of these are also obtained later than the Lava Charm, and Lava damage kinda becomes a non-issue really quick, so I don't see the issue?
This is still technically later than Lava Charm, but the Underworld is the one place where you really would appreciate Lava Charm's effect, and most people prefer to get the Lava Charm through lava fishing or shimmering a Magma Stone, both of which are underworld tier.

The earliest you can get Lava charm is through a very lucky Gold Chest at the beginning of the game, but after that mining phase you wont really see that much lava to consider using this. By the time you do you are in the underworld and this item is just better.
I would never have imagined that the thing I only ever use when I'm playing a melee build was overpowered.
But, fair enough.
The only thing Celestial Stone gives to Melee users is 10% melee speed. All other classes get an Avenger Emblem and almost a Charm of Myths worth of stats in one item, the melee speed is only a cherry on top for melee, not at all the reason to use the item
Except for that they're both options for making the Handheld Blimp I detailed three items later?
Said handheld blimp will be used for the 6 jumps... and not for bees on hit or whatever Obsidian skull is good for. Dont do Ice Skates again, extremely niche items arent good just because they come packaged inside a much better item.
I asked my friend, and they said "the effects of mana sickness are negligable on DPS with appropriate mage gear in hardmode. you effectively already have unlimited mana"
That is not entirely true, if there was an accessory that gave infinite mana most magic weapons would only get 1.1x DPS from it. (click here for technicalities). That is not negligible, it is actually a little more than a Destroyer Emblem would give due to being multiplicative. Note that 1.1x is also an average, some weapons get more, and some weapons get a lot more than that (Laser Machinegun)

What i'm getting at here, is that just because Mana accessories need to give a ton of mana to be good, doesn't mean you can make an item that is just infinite mana with no drawbacks. That really just makes Mana even less of a mechanic than it is right now.

I can feel the sarcasm oozing off this one, ha! Love it.
I suppose I'm rather bad at going too far.
That wasnt meant to be sarcastic, sorry

I mean that i'd rather focus on the Armor Penetration than give it more secondary effects
No, I don't, actually. Does everything have to singleplayer oriented, though?
In singleplayer, the only thing a Hero Shield has over Frozen Shield is 4 more defense. 4 defense is much worse than the Frozen Turtle Shell. But this isn't a huge problem because Hero Shield increases aggro, giving it something of a niche in Multiplayer.

Holy Shield doesnt have any of that, it's just worse than Frozen Shield and will only get used for abusing defense and Facetanking.

Thank you all for your feedback!

I've taken your feedback into consideration, and have made updates to the original post accordingly!
Good reading, and I hope the changes have made some of these items a bit better!

Celestial Stone itself is one of the most overpowered items in the game, and the Celestial Shell just makes it even better for no good reason.
Is that an inherently bad thing, though?

It means that the Moon Charm can't get any kind of buff, which is terrible for it because right now it's barely usable as a slightly better putrid scent, only for melee, and only active a third of the time.

That is not entirely true, if there was an accessory that gave infinite mana most magic weapons would only get 1.1x DPS from it. (click here for technicalities). That is not negligible, it is actually a little more than a Destroyer Emblem would give due to being multiplicative. Note that 1.1x is also an average, some weapons will get more, and some weapons will get a lot more than that (Laser Machinegun)
That is  not the average, the average is 1.069x not counting Meteor Staff (which had its mana drain dramatically lowered since that chart was made), and still only 1.086x counting it before the nerfs (which again, is too much).

Qwerty has told me over Discord that 10% was just the number he saw the most often after looking over the chart after making it, not the actual calculated average (I did that myself). Anyway, I have a hard time believing that ~7% beats Destroyer Emblem on anything but the absolutely best-optimized magic setups, especially given that Destroyer Emblem boosts Summon damage and Spectre Bolt crits.

Currently, Mana is a terrible mechanic and needs a complete overhaul (like the one you gave it in TRAE) in order to be interesting. I firmly believe that you could remove the mechanic from the game and Hardmode magic would be essentially exactly the same gameplay-wise.

I can't speak for everyone, but I personally don't feel like much of a wizard either, when all I have to do to manage my mana is just drink a potion when my blue bar runs out, or equip an accessory that drinks it for me if I'm lazy or inattentive. Because of that I don't think mana really adds anything to the game from a theming perspective either, other than perhaps checking the box that acknowledges that magic in most other fantasy games does have a resource called mana. I think it'd be quite refreshing to just remove it from the game outright.

In other words, I am firmly in support of making mana less of a mechanic. I actually have a lot more fun using magic weapons when I play with something (mods/godmode) that gives me infinite mana.
