You might be wondering about the title of this thread. You see, I've spent the better part of a month tinkering with a great deal of ideas, and putting everything in one thread would be a bad idea.

This one is Classy Conundrum: Bard, focused on a hypothetical Bard class, a class focused on musical instrument combat and buffing allies
Inspired by Thorium's Bard, of course, but with my own changes and touches.
Some notes to preemptively address some potential concerns:
Damage Type: Symphonic
Bard weapons are indicated by a new damage type: Symphonic
Symphonic damage increases with the usual sources: generic and class-based damage buffs.
Inspiration
Bard weapons are powered by a new resource called Inspiration.
Inspiration is functionally similar to mana.
Each character starts with 10 Inspiration, and Inspiration can be increased through new permanent power-ups, bard armor, and accessories.
Empowerments
Empowerments are short-duration, tiered buffs granted by playing Bard instruments.
Each empowerment has four (4) tiers, though tier 4 of any empowerment can only be obtained through specific means.
Without any bonuses, Empowerments have a default duration of 5 seconds, and a 12 tile radius.

As a final note, I would like to apologize for various parts of this one.
It's not as done as I would've like it to be, but I was running out of energy trying to get these into a postable state.
There is, technically, one more class I wanted to post about, Alchemist, which is entirely original. However, it needs much more work before I feel it'd be in a postable state.
So, maybe keep an eye out, but also don't hold your breath waiting for it.

Some notes to preemptively address some potential concerns:
- This post, and the others in this sub-series, are heavily inspired by content from the Calamity and Thorium mods. Shoutout to those teams, you're doing great work.
- Some items may be directly taken from their source works. In these cases it is simply because I think the item works more-or-less fine as presented there, or is just fun conceptually.
- No, I don't think Terraria needs new classes. But I do like the idea of new classes.
- That aside, it'd be cool if any of these ideas make it even if for an existing class rather than a new class.
- These classes act somewhat as hybrid classes, and as such may break some of the rules or perceived rules that exist. I apologize for this in advance.
- I tried my best to give actual numbers for items included in these suggestions, but they're far from perfect, and may lean too much toward either end of the power spectrum.
- On that note, crafting recipes may be too lenient or too resource-heavy as well.
- This is not to say I won't accept feedback, it's simply to have the note more visible so I don't have to repeat myself.

Bard Instruments are divided into five categories: String, Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, and Electronic.
Author's Note: I decided not to set any standardized functionality for instruments, other than that most fire projectiles.
Some later-game weapons don't have set special functionality, because I kinda ran out of ideas.
I also didn't assign Inspiration costs for the same reason. Probably shouldn't be posting these quite yet but they aren't getting any more complete sitting there either.

As a final note, I would like to apologize for various parts of this one.
It's not as done as I would've like it to be, but I was running out of energy trying to get these into a postable state.
There is, technically, one more class I wanted to post about, Alchemist, which is entirely original. However, it needs much more work before I feel it'd be in a postable state.
So, maybe keep an eye out, but also don't hold your breath waiting for it.
