This is just an idea that can be expanded on and is a WIP.
What if there was a mystic Guardian that would protect NPCs from enemies.
He Would absorb any damage given towards an NPC and sell a vanity version of his armor.
If there is more than 1 NPC being attacked, He protects the NPC with less health.
He is found at a place called the Mystic Guardian Temple, and you can pay him to move in by finding him and paying him 5 Platinum Coins. The temple is a small above ground structure.
The Mystic Guardian will absorb up to 300 damage (number subject to change) before teleporting back to the Temple and when you find him again, He is floating in a capsule and seen as Healing Mystic Guardian. He will heal naturally after 5 days then return to your house. But, if you get 50 crystal shards and 20 Souls of Light, he will heal instantly.
He does no damage to enemies, only absorbs the damage in order to protect the NPC until you can handle the threat to the NPC, or until he is defeated and put in his weakened state.
While healing, the temple will be defended by a whyvern like creature called 'The Mystic Guardians Pet', that you will have to defeat to reach the guardian while he is healing. When the creature is defeated, instead of dying, it flys away and despawns until a monster tries to attack the healing guardian. The Creature will attack monsters as well as you, but will not attack you again after you have defeated it, It will attack normal monsters, but not bosses, and bosses will do no damage to the guardian.

I have not decided on the health of The Mystic Guardians Pet yet, feel free to offer suggestions

People have noticed it. I think that the formatting hindered your suggestion. Try adding spaces between paragraphs to make it easier to read.

Where would you find the temple? The sky? On the ground? Underground?

maybe the guardian could cost a little less and also would this mean while hes around you cant kill your guide or clothier?

He defends NPCs from enemies, not the player, and I think the cost is fine being that t you only have to pay him once and he protects your NPCs forever, unless he is weakened, then he has to heal but comes right back.

What would be the point of freeing him if he is not done healing yet? While healing, the temple will be defended by a whyvern like creature called 'The Mystic Guardians Pet', that you will have to defeat to reach the guardian while he is healing. When the creature is defeated, instead of dying, it flys away and despawns until a monster tries to attack the healing guardian. Other than that, this is a nice idea that could really help us defend our npcs.

No to instant heal him with souls of light and crystal shards you have to get to him and to do that you have to defeat the creature

This is a decent upgrade to your suggestion you've made in the social group, BUT in the future can you edit the original one?

I have noticed most people vote for "Needs Tweaking", and would like to know WHAT ASPECTS need tweaking

Oh. I already stated what I think needs tweaking. I better change my vote then.I have noticed most people vote for "Needs Tweaking", and would like to know WHAT ASPECTS need tweaking

Yeah I hate that too, just don't even put a poll in the first place, people will just randomly vote for something that they don't even anything to support it with.
