PC Confused about NPC Happiness / Pylon system

Hey there.
I'm pretty confused about the new NPC Happiness system. Unless I'm seriously missing something, nobody seems to be complaining about their housing.
I've attached a few screenshots. Is it just me or does it seem like all my NPCs are content with the starter houses I've built them?
Maybe these aren't the NPCs that are supposed to sell pylons, but I'm just not sure. The game doesn't really give you enough info on how this system works.
In this case, how should go about trying to unlock all the pylons?

What I found was the easiest way was to put the npc in their desired biome and make sure there sre not too many other NPCs nearby. If their house is reasonable size, which I don’t think is actually a factor, then they should sell a pylon for the biome they are in.

I think the range of the pylon should be increased i have 5 npcs in my town and i can only tp to it when im like right next to it

Are you referring to to how close you are to the pylon or the NPCs. If it’s referring to your position, then by turning on increased block placement range you can use it from farther away. That is, if you are playing on Journey Mode.

Ok thanks for letting me know I did not know that turning on increased block placement range makes you be able to use it from farther away
