Other Console Split Screen whilst playing Online multiplayer

I play alot of split screen multiplayer with my younger brother, however on the xbox 1 version you can't play split screen whilst playing on online multiplayer. This presents some issues such as when I want to play online with some of my friends and my brother wants to participate via local split screen. This only became an issue as of 1.4 and was not a problem during 1.3.

Also, I was hoping that you could make wormhole potions available for offline split screen.
