Yes, true but if you are familiar to the world of coding (I have no idea if you are) it would be just another property of the actuator (basically there are blueprints to building blocks that have certain details that need filling in, and is it was made with a wire or not would just be one detail) <--I have no idea if that made sense. Also, most players do not use large amounts of actuators, so not a lot of extra memory used

Unlike what you think, properties don't exactly work in Terraria. Even the chests don't even have properties. They just have a separate entity that spawns upon the tile placement. However, when you quit then reload the world, everything would be reset, so almost impossible to maintain properties within the current code of Terraria. And still the memory problem because of the loading assets when you start the game in the first place.
 
209 Oh I always thought they used properties. That makes things a lot more complicated.
Maybe you could store them like hammered blocks are stored.
