The Cowgirl is an NPC that can be gotten after you get at least 10 NPCs in your town, along with having some kind of plant sitting in your inventory. She resembles a woman who has brownish-blonde hair kept in a ponytail, dark blue eyes, and peach skin. She wears a pink cowgirl-like tied shirt and blue shorts, and has a Summer Hat on her head.
The Cowgirl likes most NPCs; she is on good/neutral terms with folk like the Guide, Nurse, Merchant, and the Arms Dealer. She only seems to have a distaste for the Princess, weirdly enough; the Cowgirl doesn't outright hate her, but thinks said Princess is pampered by everyone, so she has a slight dislike of her due to the envy of her position.
The Cowgirl likes the Forest and Jungle as a biome, doesn't like the Tundra too much, and seems to hate the Desert..for what seems to be some obvious reasons.
The Cowgirl can be hired to gather crops in your area while you are away doing something else. She can also be given a small pen area to grow stuff; she has a watering can that can sped up this process. You can do this by giving the type of item you want the Cowgirl to help you with: for example, give her some kind of seeds and she'll do the work for you.
The Cowgirl is pretty cheap to hire, taking silver coins at the highest cost typically. Usually, she takes a few copper coins at the end of the work day. If you don't pay her, however, you cannot collect her harvest, and her price goes up each passing day.
Finally, the Cowgirl seems to have feelings for the player character, and does like your company. Her personality is genuinely sweet and caring. On a Blood Moon, the Cowgirl is sad in her lines, but not rude towards you; she might just calmly ask you to give her space.
The Cowgirl speaks with a Southern drawl accent in her lines. She also tends to use idioms in her speech.
She is a great way to farm ingredients for potions and food.

"Howdy there, partner! It's a lovely day to do some work that puts some hair on your chest, no?"
