This is for all of you crazy Summoner-playthrough guys who don't have a good way of getting low-leveled Summoner weapons when starting the game.

Worm Staff
Summons Worms to fight for you.
Dig/tunnel to follow the player.
5 Summon damage.
Recipe:

Summons Locusts to fight for you.
Can fly short distances.
6 Summon damage.
Recipe:

Rat Staff
Summons Rats to fight for you.
Can jump.

Lightning Staff
Summons Lightning Bugs to fight for you.
Fly around.
Shoot arcs of electricity at enemies.
8 Summon damage.

Scorpion Staff
Summons Scorpions to fight for you.
Behave like Spider summons.
Inflict the Poisoned debuff 1/2 (50%) for 3 seconds.
9 Summon damage.

Can crawl up walls.

I support this! Summoners need love, too little items compared to the other 3 classes.
Curious, is the snail actually fast for moving so it doesn't lag behind like it's natural critter ilk?

As cool as this idea is, and I support this to the fullest, but about the lightning staff, why is it named that? Why not Firefly staff? Every other staff includes the name of the summon. I don't see how lightning is associated with fireflies. Besides, total support

Fireflies are frequently called "Lightning bugs" in parts of the world. I grew up with both terms being used. Lightning bugs are actually in the game, but they spawn in the hallow at night, and these are for early game summoners.

Early game summoners need an armor, as well. Gelatinous Armor? +1 Minion, 15% increased minion damage, made from gel and some gems.

I think the worm should dig through the ground, like worm enemies.

I don't think so. The only class that gets dedicated early-game armor is Magic.

I think it's "follow player" behavior would be digging through the ground like the Truffle Worm, but other than that, it needs to be a low class summoner item with no remarkable abilities, like other early-game items.
