Cross Platform Stopped Working

Setsuna

Terrarian
I play un-moded Terraria with my younger sister whos on a mobile device (amazon fire) from my Windows pc all the time. We didn't play for a few weeks, and today when we went to play we couldn't connect to anyone's world. We tried switching WIFI but it still didn't work. Any ideas as to what's going wrong, or how we can fix it? (I own a Steam copy of the game for pc.)

Hey @Setsuna,

Are you trying to connect to a local server either of you is hosting, or are you trying to connect to someone else's server? If so, are you both failing to connect or only one of you?

Thank you. We don't have a server and play via me on pc starting the game with Host & Play, and then she joins on mobile via multiplayer then local once my world appears. So we're falling to connect on the Mobile end, and haven't tried my pc end as we don't have a server.

I see. And is your world not visible to her at all, or does the connection process fail or hang?

My world isn't visible to her at all.

Alright, then it seems more likely there is a local network issue at play rather than an issue with Terraria. Do you have a way of verifying whether your devices are visible to each other on your network?
