I’m back with new posts after half a year, and here’s one of the ideas that came to my mind:
New Item: Golden Sheeting
Drops from:
- Pirate Captain — 5% chance
- Flying Dutchman — 33% chance
- Any other enemy from the Pirate Invasion — 0.2% chance
Sell price: 5 Gold Coins
Used for:
- Crafting Pirate Armor
- Crafting golden furniture (beds, chairs, tables, etc.)
Furniture recipe:
1 Wooden furniture item + 1 Golden Sheeting = 1 Golden furniture item
(Cannot be deconstructed in Shimmer.)
Platform recipe:
50 Wooden Platforms + 1 Golden Sheeting = 50 Golden Platforms
This would make it easier for builders to obtain golden furniture without relying entirely on luck.
Pirate Armor
Crafted from the Pirate set (sold by the Pirate) and one Golden Sheeting for each piece.
Stats:
Pirate Golden Tricorne
- 10 defense
- +5% coin drop rate
- +10% chance not to consume ammo
- -10% mana cost
Pirate Golden Shirt
- 14 defense
- +5% coin drop rate
- +10% melee speed
- +15% movement speed
Pirate Golden Pants
- 9 defense
- +5% coin drop rate
- +10% movement speed
- +5% critical strike chance
Set Bonus:
When holding the Cutlass, grants the ability to dash.
"Pirates never wore tricorn hats, but that’s not what you care about, is it? But everyone loves gold, everyone, always."
Another armor set that doesn’t require mining ore before the mechanical bosses — now there can be three of them.
Also, this set can still be useful afterward if you need extra money
Cutlass
Special effects:
- Grants a dash ability when wearing the full Pirate Golden Armor set
- Increases knockback during the dash by 10%
This change would make the Cutlass more useful, serving as a solid alternative to the Shield of Cthulhu at this stage of the game.
It also frees up an accessory slot, while the armor itself requires no metal bars to craft and provides stats comparable to Mythril or Orichalcum Armor.
My previous ideas:
Pre-Hardmode Melee Armor (THERE'S LITERALLY ONLY ONE)
Not a Banal Upgrade for Hardmode Ore Swords
Other content:
No-arachnophobia texture pack!
Thanks for reading my suggestion!
