Weapons & Equip Decrease the Use Time of the Amethyst, Sapphire, and Ruby Staves

For some reason, you can lose access to the better staff via dumb RNG on world creation. I suggest making the worse ones faster; this would still keep them different while making them equal.

Ruby staff has a base DPS of 45 currently with damage of 21 and speed of 28
Diamond staff has a base DPS of ~53.7 currently with damage of 23 and speed of 26 (faster)

If you were to give the Ruby staff 24 speed, it would have a new base DPS of 52.5, barely lower than Diamond staff.
If you were to give the Ruby staff 23 speed, it would have a new base DPS of 54.7, barely higher than Diamond staff.

They are meant to be different tho. Diamonds are much more elegant than Topaz.

He means it's a pain to get a Topaz/Emerald/Diamond staff if your world didn't generate tin/tungsten/platinum, all of which are better than their counterparts by a progressively larger margin.

You can try to fish/extractinate for it, but that's still RNG and also some people hate fishing.

Okay, but you can also shimmer down demonite into platinum and platinum into everything else, can’t you?
Edit: just checked, you can’t shimmer demonite into platinum. You can shimmer platinum/gold into all the lower tier ores tho.

But why wouldn’t you just make a Ruby Staff at that point? I just feel that Ruby Staff (and by extension all the other inferior staffs) should be equal to their counterparts.

I get the fact that they are supposed to be different, so that’s why I’m suggesting having these ones be faster and less damaging.

I wish the sapphire staff could penetrate like the emerald staff. That makes it considerably weaker as it also does less damage.
