Desert biome key on getfixedboi

Hey, not sure if I've missed this, but can enemies drop the desert biome key on the surface in the getfixedboi seed? By surface, I mean the actual top layer of the world. I'm in the crimson desert section, I've gotten 3 crimson keys but no desert ones. I know it's luck, I don't mind putting in the time but just wanted to make sureit'll drop. I'm guessing you can as you can get them in the underground desert of a normal seed, but I'm getting nervous I'm wasting my time. Thanks, Dan
 
So if course 20 minutes after posting this, it finally dropped. About 7k enemies overall, so when you factor in the crimson keys not to bad.
