Next up, let’s determine the rest of the size values we need:
The width of the bridge
The height of the bridge at the ends
The height of the bridge at the center.
Since we’re the ones making the bridge, we can set these values to whatever we like, so let’s say...
20 meters wide, 30 meters tall at the edges, 10 meters tall at the center.

Now, onto math!
The area of the rectangle is simple:
30*x = 30x meters squared.
The area of the ellipse is ever so slightly less so.
Our minor axis is 20 meters (30-10), and our major axis is x/2 meters. Additionally, we’ll only be using half of it, so we’ll have to cut this number in half. Now, with the axes determined, we can find the area: A=pi*a*b, so pi*10*x. Divide that by 2, and we get pi*5*x.

Now, with those determined, we need to slap them together:
