It is indeed old-gen console cover art

Yep. If you did an image search, you would’ve gotten Terraria for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.

this is a very old cover art that used to be for the old console versions. over time I believe they updated it, and eventually replaced it with drawn art.
