Does the lack of stars in the Terrarian night sky imply city lights?

I noticed that there is an unusual lack of stars in the night sky in Terraria. This is only caused by light pollution in real life. Yes, light from major cities.

Light pollution wouldn't exist before the invention of electricity.

In the images below, there is a light pollution chart with a screenshot of Terraria's night sky (12:00 AM) below it for comparison.

As you can see, the Terrarian night sky seems to fall between number 5, the suburban sky, and number 4, the suburban/rural transition.

I think this theory may prove the existence of big cities in Terraria. Within the game, there are hints to other civilizations, so a big city existing somewhere in Terraria doesn't seem out of the question.

What do you think?

Here is another image to reinforce my theory. It still seems to be between suburban and rural skies.

The Derplore’s Terrarian Capital on the Continent was definitely canon this whole time guys! I told you! :D
You encouraged me to read the Derplore and I think it is an amazing story! It was engaging, it explains a lot of the biggest mysteries and then connects the dots. Just as lore should. 10/10, I really enjoyed it!

maybe the system the Terraria planet is in simply has less stars nearby?
or maybe the atmosphere is thicker or something, causing the unaided eye to not be able to see at lower apparent magnitudes compared to when being on Earth

True, if Terraria is a separate planet it could be in a galaxy where there is less stars. I don't know if that's possible, though.

When you go to the top of the world, in space, the amount of stars is the same on the surface. However, this may disprove my theory, light pollution doesn't have an effect in space.

i mean, similarly, the whole "Terraria is it's own planet rather than just being a highly modified version of Earth" is just a theory (a game theory!) and my headcanon explanation for a lot of the things in the game that aren't supernatural, such as the gravity, the atmosphere being super short, multiple moons, etc.

Honestly, a variation of the night background that could be a random event and have more stars visible or the galaxy visible (with variants like the moon) would be sick.
