dracologist
Terrarian
I've been floating here a bit for now but could not gather fortitude to post this here
As you can see I managed to gather some but this is less of a well groomed composition of concepts that it was and rather a mash of ideas that i managed to save from my sources I used.
Anyway here's a big bag of ideas. There might be several overlaps of same concepts popping up but I'm just too unmotivated to untangle them (Sorry =( )
Before the ideas let me say that all sort of feedback and discussion is most welcome as any form of shown interest gives me a bit of reason to chisel and refine these concepts, and maybe, just maybe get the developers to take a glance at it
So thanks if you do
Solidifier
-Hive block from 1 honey block and 1 crisp honey block (also the ability to craft hive walls)
-1 Dirt block from 1 mud block
-reinforced glass from glass + obsidian (a type of glass that has a bit of purple hue to its visible parts and quite sturdy)
Blend-O-Mat
-Pykrete 1 wood 1 ice (a very sturdy type of block)
-Concrete from silt stone and ash (it's durability somewhere between dungeon and lhizard bricks)

-Iron plating (similar to copper plating only made from iron and has gray color)
-Techno wall (made from silver gold and tungsten ingots) a hi-tech looking mostly decorative brick with decent durability
And finally AutoHammer
Since you can make shrooomite from chlorophite i thought that the autohammer could be used to craft various alloys
silver + gold to make electrum (electrum could be used to make circuitry)
copper + tungsten to make wolfram (wolfram could be used to make wiring)
Demonite/crimson bar + Hellstone = Infernum bars Powerful alloy material in special recipes.
hallowed bars + hard mode ores (cobalt/palladium mythril/orihalcum adamantine/titanium) to make special metal plates for special recipes
hallowed bars + chlorophyte bars Gaeanium a very powerful resource
Hover bikes!
Can be crafted from the hallowed + hard mode ore ingot alloys. They also require a large variety of other resources such as fuel tanks and circuit boards.
Each alloy type has various special features appearance and statistics (flying speed, weapon, etc.)
Pet Upgrades
An ability to upgrade a few pet types up to familiars that will actually fight by your side. Some can be upgraded multiple types some only once but multiple ways.
I.E.:
Amber Mosquito -> fossilized claw -> Dinosaur egg
or
Sapling -> Jade oak Shield
-> Lightwood Shuriken/willow maker
-> Sigil of Barkana
Familiars would use various type of attacks to fend of the player while providing some sort of buff with their presence. Like with the raven/slime/pygmy staves you only can summon one of them, unless you have a special equipment. Unlike however the staves however these familiars can be killed. If so the player receives a summon fatigue debuff which prevents re-summoning the familiar in an instant.

The guns themselves are made from the various firearms the player can acquire. (rapid fire, flak/shotgun, explosive)
standard turrets do not effect players regardless team and pvp status. In order for them to attack an opposing team in pvp the players have to craft the turrets with dyes that will affect the turrets team assignment.
(i had a few ideas for magic variants with proximity construct upgrades)

Defensive form is active if the geode is attacked. In defense mode it has higher armor. In melee form it moves between two points very quickly usually trying to hit the player in such charges. In ranged mode it attacks with an array of sharp crystalline shards that is not easy to dodge but they break upon blocks thus taking cover is useful. Drops crystal shards upon death.

Map types (worlds that can be generated)
-Sky world: This map is generated with a reverse concept, building up from floating islands (not cloud islands). The player starts from the bottom islands and have to work upwards for more valuable resources (The bottom of the map could be either a constant upward draft that keep the player afloat, or an instant death that need to be avoided.) Floating islands are built from basic blocks (dirt rock ores) and can be small as a cloud island to be big enough to house caverns. Biomes could be similar to the normal world including jungle, corruption/crimson. desert etc. and can have their own spin on naturally generated areas such as dungeons, temples etc.
As the player ascends to higher levels more difficult monsters will appear and more valuable items can be found. On the top could be an "elysium"/"Asgard" layer which is a reversed variant of the underworld layer.
-Giant caves: This map is generated very high, with a very thing layer of dirt, and a very large layer of stone which vast caverns. Most naturally occurring constructs are hidden inside the caverns along with small patches of various biomes.
-Desert caves: This map consist of only sand, sandstone mixed with some rock. The caverns are mostly barren with a few water deposits only. (bonus monsters could include a shai-hulud)
-Arctic world: Large snow and ice peaks riddled with caverns that lead into a sturdy rock layer. Dungeons could include "basalt towers without windows" and non-euclidean chambers
-Ocean world: A world mostly made up by a vast and deep ocean with few islands. Randomly generated structures include under water cities/dungeons.
-Ruins: This world generation made from randomly generated structures only. Large ruined cities castles temples and such merged seemingly seamlessly
special worlds (these worlds can be reached through craftable items or events)
-Asteroid belt
A separate world created when a asteroid gate is passed, and deleted once it's left by all players. This area is made up from floating chunks of rock with veins of various ores regardless what the world was originally generated with (if hardmode is active hardmode ores will spawn in the asteroids as well). Some asteroids are made from even meteorite or even hellstone if the asteroid have lava in them. The asteroid worlds however are much smaller than the original starting world (half a size of the generated world). Because it is in space there is no air, however every placed block gives of a 4-5 block radius "atmosphere" which provides air (this allows that even brick brought by the player can provide air if placed). The lack of atmosphere also means that torches become unlit if the player leaves such air bubble.
Aside from rock and ores the player can micro-suns which made from solar matter. Solar matter act as a block that can be stand on but it deals immense amount of fire damage that can kill even a high defense and health player almost with one touch (using obsidian skin potions and other fire/lava debuff items only half the damage and does not negate it). Solar matter also infect other blocks and spreads like corruption however unlike corruption in can transform all type of blocks (blocks only) into solar matter. If a specific amount of solar matter however becomes adjacent to each other -being in a same clump so to speak- it will transform into dark matter a material that is harder than lhizard blocks and nearly impossible to mine.
Naturally generated structures can occur in the asteroid belt in the form of space hulks and abandoned space crafts and stations. These stations are made from hull plate blocks which can be mined and used for more sci-fi looking buildings. Other decorative items may include various consoles, data terminals and server builds.

It also can spit acid blocks that stay in place for a couple of seconds before disappearing (similar to the ice blocks from the ice rod)
-Shadow realm (can only be accessed in hard mode)
A world that can be reached through a shadow gate. The land level is significantly lower than the normal map and it is mostly taken up by a randomly generated castle.
The world is made from three natural type of blocks: Ash blocks, embers, Shadow stone,
Biomes consist of mostly a small portion of "natural" forest biome (grass and tree grow on ash blocks). The other three major biome is a large castle that takes up mostly the half side of the map and a village that is on the side and catacombs beneath both.

Summons cursed skulls and wraiths and occasionally lunges at the player. As it looses hp, it "fragments" and ectoplasms break off from it, to attack the player -Make it ideal as a source of ectoplasm-).
Potion upgrading: At the same time i thought that there should be a way to upgrade your potions, at the imbuing station. Potions could be combined together with their own type to increase duration and effect, or combined with an other specific potion to gain both abilities at once.
For example:
2 Iron Skin potion + extra miscellaneous ingredient = Dragon Scale potion which gives 14 defense for 10 minutes
Or
Shine potion + Night owl potion = Night-prowl potion which gives both effect for 10 minutes.
This would allow to carry less potions or more effective ones.
Other potion related options would be that after consuming a potion you would drop a glass bottle which would allow you to recycle bottles.
and the idea of a "Luck" potion which increase rare drop rates greatly, but would have to make from many different resources (flowers and their seeds and maybe chlorophyte and gold etc.)
Was thinking that could there be an game function that if you equipped with a shield (paladin shield, cobalt shield etc.) than with a button you could bring it up and block attacks? (melee enemies could not reach you from that side, and projectiles would glint off, and spells would bounce back)
The ability to create hive blocks with 1 honey block and 1 crispy honey block
Watering can: Crafted from a bucket and some iron ingots. Needs to be filled with water in which case it gains some "ammo". It can be used on grass blocks to grow flowers and grass, saplings to grow into trees, and flowers to grow and bloom.
can be upgraded to obsidian watering can which is capable to carry lava which is useful on nurturing fireblossoms, but eradicates all form of other grass/moss blocks
Moss seeds,
Corrupted/crimson/hallowed moss.
So you can really bring your old mood caves alive.
Vendors buy items with different value depending on their interest (Mechanic pays more for cables, Witch doctor pays for bits and bobs that can be used in potion making etc. Merchant has general values, and traveling merchant always pays extra.)
Just a little bit of tweak that could help fishing here and there.
You see i often find myself in the pickle that after hardmode, my level is inevitably overrun by the hallow-crimson/corruption and thus altering the biome properties of various water masses .
So i thought would it be possible/good idea to use the water fountains bought from the witch doctor to alter the water properties to aid fishing?
So i was thinking that with silver and tungsten only can be used for making middle-low tier tools/weapons/armor, Silver redeems itself by being able to make silver bullets.
Which made me think: Couldn't we have Tungsten rounds?
there is such thing as the .50 boys APCR Tungsten Round
(since we not making much lightbulbs and printed circuitry, The building bricks novelty wears out a but fast, and selling the ingots feels like a waste)
Creatable underworld/obsidian furniture
ability to craft hellstone walls from blocks and back
Change the gamma/brightness on player crafted obsidian walls so it is somewhat like the naturally generated underground house walls.
(Spider based furniture... Maybe? (using lots of cobwebs silk and spider fangs)
NPC interaction with mounts (right click brings up a menu to select option such as guard position, mount up, Follow)
Dual function for minions/mounts
I do not know if the code of terraria would allow this but it would be quite nifty if the summon if used from inventory would conjure the creature as a minion to fight for the player, and when placed inside the mount slot it could be conjured -as expected- as a mount.
Minecart variety
I checked and there is currently 3 types of minecart available (correct me if I'm wrong)
The basic shoddy one,
the iron wooden one
and finally the mechanical one
Now I was thinking on the following:
basic metal carts (copper/tin, iron/lead, silver/tungsten, gold/platinum) will have slowly increase of collision damage but average speed
demonite: shadow cart "fast as a fleeting shadow"
moves very fast (not as fast as the mechanical cart)
crimtane: maw cart "Roadkill utilizer"
enemies that has been run over (actually killed) heal the player a little bit (this may bring forth a couple of mob grinder builds)
jungle: vine cart "Jungle buggy"
?
meteorite: rocket cart "Not very safe"
when reaching maximum speed the player can keep pressing the direction key to activate an afterburner which drastically increase speed but quickly consumes mana
hellstone: magma cart "hottest ride around"
Slower than the average tho with not much, however when used, it protects the player entirely from magma allowing under lava rides.
advanced metal (cobalt/palladium, mythrill/orihalcum, adamant/titan) similar to the basic metal carts but with slight upgrade to speed
hallowed radiant cart "leading light"
moves nimbly and produces a strong light source in front of itself
chlorophyte thorn cart "green power"
The cart has large spikes on its front dealing large amount of damage to anything it hits
spectre ghost cart "ghost rider"
Very light allows very high jumps and slow descent with it.
shroomite blur cart "M1N3-2 Stealth spirit"
Moves nimbly, when turns completely invisible the rider can phase through enemies thus allowing an non-bothered travel.
luminite moon cart "rollcage!"
really fast, capable to invert gravity and ride on the bottom side of rails
Decorative carts: These carts have not special ability but they look snazzy
wooden carts “woody”
living wood cart "for forest trips"
honey cart "it sticks to the rails..."
bone cart "macabride"
ice cart "coolest ride"
glass cart "just don't hit the bumpers too hard"
sky cart "what goes up"
pumpkart "smells like pie"
spookart "spooky"
slime cart "not sure if structurally sound"
steampunk cart "very classy"
glowshroom cart " good trip, bad trip"
cactus cart "not the most comfortable ride"
marble cart "Senatus Populus Quarry Ride"
granite cart "Rock hard Ride"
martian cart "?"
Blind Idiot God boss event

conjures a rather apocalyptic event that consist of the area being overrun by various lovecraftian horrors. The event is a mix of the various event types including bossfights, hordes and the recent pillars.
the player have to slay a quantity of monsters that will unshield a boss the player has to whittle down before it closes itself back.
When the player slays the boss the line "the dream ends" appears and every corruption and hallow is cleansed
during the event the background sky is overtaken by a giant eye and flesh like clods instead of clouds
(despite being quite imposing this event can be survived with a cholorphyte tier and a few biome chest items)
monsters during event
pluto fungi: a varied form of monsters resembling contorted crustacean monsters either walking or flying wielding arcane weapons
pale worms: burrowing pale worms with squid like heads that shoot venomous darts
squid face: a bulky humanoid with a squid like head
bloodsucker blob: an initially invisible monster that gets gradually more visible more damage it deals
Fish Fiend: large burly fish people that can wear robes and arm themselves with weapons

optional meteorite boss sillyness
space invaders: the classic space invaders can be conjured up and fought in a quick match of dodging pixels
the invaders move like the original, however they always remain on screen maintaining speed with the player, thus they cannot be run away from. All space invaders have 1 Hp however each shot they take have a devastating effect not just for the player (they kill the player instantly) but every block they hit is completely destroyed and removed (not broken off like from a bomb but completely obliterated) This can be solved with a proper arena setup made from reusable material like wood or slime blocks (this boss can be quickly destroyed with multi shot or rapid fire weapons and with no map collision weapons they can be safely fought).
drops are maybe just a few gold coin or maybe a cool little decorative arcade cabin.
Liquids, Elder signs, Worlds-to-Travel, Beast master and dabbler update
Elder Signs: Elder signs are eldritch symbols that the player can acquire by defeating powerful boss monsters (Wall of Flesh, Moonlord, above mentioned Blind-idiot god) Elder signs work as powerful buffs in an area of effect spell or deadly weapons. but for a price.
Each sign have to be crafted into a glyph which can be be used like an item (similar how the player characters hold up a mana star, heart, or magic mirror). When the player uses a glyph it will consume a little bit of mana and that symbol's ghostly image will appear orbiting the player. When the player create a proper sequence of these glyphs the glyphs merge above the player and a powerful spell will take effect. The price of these spells however are that every time they are cast they will deal damage to the caster and even those around the caster who will receive the spell's effect. The stronger (more glyphs are used) the spell the more health it uses (To signal how much health it will take off, the caster see the hearts that be lost on the health bar greyed out (if the player wishes not to cast a spell than not completing the spell will cause the ghost glyphs to eventually dissipate)
spell effects can be similar to that of potions giving various buffs or even used in a form of powerful attacks (such killing every weak on screen enemy)
Glyphs would work that each of them represent different aspect that when combined create the corresponding effect (mind+sight=hunter vision, Sight+light=nightvision Light+body= Glow effect)
Worlds to Travel
By start the player could create a special decorative item called the airship made from lots of wood, silk, rope and sail walls. This large item than could be placed down and would appear as a moored airship that even could be jumped on as bookcases tables and dressers can be stood on) This will allow a Skyship captain NPC to arrive. The skyship will allow the player to travel to various specially generated worlds that they can explore and find interesting items, weapons, monsters and such.
At first only a few areas will be available to the player, but travelling through more worlds the player can find fragments-pieces of maps that can be crafted into full maps which if given to the sky captain allows more worlds to be explored. The Sky captain also allows the player to travel from one created world to another if that world also have an airship. (in the case the player manage to stuck in a different world from his home area, than in order to return they can use the magic mirror or anything of that use to return to their own world. If they used a bed to remain in that specific area, than they have to craft another airship and make a house for skyship captain who will ferry them back)
Worlds available are:
Cloud worlds. A sky world that has its depth-reward reversed. The player spawn is at the bottom of the map where are a few sky islands are and as they move upward they found more and more valuable resources.
The layers are from bottom to top
Barrier line: Not actually a layer but if the player reach the bottom of the map they don't stand but are transported back to the origin world where they would appear from the top of the screen and plummet down from there.
Sky islands: Similar to the ones that in basic map generation, however there is more of them and in wider shape variety and without sky houses. On this layer raining is very frequent and there could be strong gales that can push the player around
Cloud (Cirrus-Cumulus-Supercell) layer: this layer is mostly made from Cloud and rain cloud blocks with cloud walls. like the underground there are caves to traverse and the players can mine clouds and other resources.
Strato layer: A more dense version of the cloud layer speckled with float rock
Sky world (above the clouds) layer: Here the clouds end the player can see a larger image of the sun and the moon in the background. Sky islands return but in more vast stronger size creating more complex structures.
Sky palace-temple mini biome: A large structure made from sunplate blocks and skyware furniture.
Dragon castle/fort mini biome: A rough but stalwart structure with many artificial intersecting caverns. There is a high chance that the Thaum can be found here.
Wyvern Nest micro biome: a small splot of hard rock surrounded by stone spikes that hides a wyvern nest.
New Blocks/items
Floatrock: Float rock is the same that basic stone with the difference that it has different appearance and the odd trait that instead of placing it like regular blocks, the player throws the block and it will stop and create a floatrock block at the cursor (or before if it hits something). Its behaviour is similar to that of the ice rod and the dirt rod projectiles. This trait make it ideal to make foundations for midair-flying structures without building large towers of blocks.
Floatbrick: A refined version of floatrock. Has the same traits.
Stone spikes: found surrounding wyvern nests. it deals less damage than dungeon spikes and cannot be mined only be destroyed.
Flintrock: Found as a base of wyvern nests and the main material that makes up dragon castles. Can be difficult to mine.
Wyvern Nest: Similar to that of Shadow orbs Crimson hearts and demon/flesh altars. Breaking them can yield a few items and have a 75% chance of spawning a mother wyvern when destroyed.
Can yield
Flint
Wyvern Eggshells: Crafting material Can be used to craft armor and wyvern mount-minion
Wyvern Feathers: Crafting material can be used to craft armor
Wyvern mantle: A special wing that appears as a large wyvern shaped hoodie, which tail flickers behind the player while flying.
Wyvern Egg: Summons a pet baby wyvern. Can be combined with souls of flight and eggshells to create a two function mount-minion wyvern
Skywhale harpoon: A throwable spear weapon. When you have at least one in your inventory, the weapon merchant will have it on sale.
Storm Riser: A multi barrelled rapid fire gun. Rather than spraying bullets in a cone its spread is more parallel
Other items
hangglider: Similar to the umbrella and need to be hold in hand to use it. Grants slow descent and the good horizontal gliding speed.
Sky grappler: A unique grappling hook that basically never misses. The hook will stop where the cursor was when it was shot and can even connect to thin air. This trait however compensated by only one hook and very basic range.
(Work in progress)
Forsaken Metropolis.
Subterra.
Grand mountains.
Oceania.
Dark world.
New type of liquids
RadSlime/Slime/Goo/Sludge. A (Un)healthily glowing green liquid that can be found in the sewer areas of the Forsaken metropolis. Its viscosity is between that of lava and honey and it deals only 1 point of damage but in a very very rapid fashion (similar how standing on meteorite and hellstone will burn the player without triggering the temporal invulnerability) Like most liquids it can be scooped up with a bucket (and used in a liquid multiplier) If the player accidentally falls into it than next to the damage they will receive the "irradiated" debuff (cause blindness, reduced defence, damage and slowly ticks off health)
Combined with water: Unlike most liquids when the RadSludge hits water the tiles destroy each creating toxic clouds that can infect stone and damage entities
Combined with Lava: Creates Terraium a greenish obsidian like block that deal damage when touched. it can be harvested like obsidian and can be used to craft various items
Combined with Honey: Creates green slime (Aemobealock?) blocks that can be used at the solidifier
Blood. It can be found in darker areas like the dungeon or in the underworld (or in the dark world in the blood rivers biome) Blood is thick like lava but aside from impeding movement does not actually does anything to the player
Combined with water: Creates scab scabs can be collected and can be crafted into flesh blocks at the flesh cloning vat.
Combined with Lava: Creates blood stone A type of building material with a dark design to it can be used to make furniture and a few items
Combined with Honey: Creates blood crystal Blood crystals can be harvested and be crafted into blood gems that can be used in crafting recipes
Flood water. Not really a new liquid as it acts like water however it acts slightly differently than water. During strong rains (monsoon weather type) flood water will slowly begins to rise all over and will cause everything to get flooded. When the weather ends, the flood water blocks disappear
Liquid Transposer DeviceThis device can be crafted with an inlet-outlet pipe wires steampunk gears and iron bars. It functions similar to the super sponge and infinite bucket, but instead of destroying and creating water tiles, this tool can pick up liquid blocks so the players may store them in their inventory (they function as ammunition) the device also can be used to spew the picked up liquid back out allowing the player to remove and carry liquids around (left click picks up liquids right click uses/expells current liquid)
Upgrades: Obsidian upgrade: Allows the transport of lava. Rad-Block Upgrade: Allows the transport of radioactive goo.
Beasts of burden
New NPC: Beast keeper. The beast keeper is a female NPC wearing rather bulky armour. She sells various items including a beast altar (crafting station) and an incubating nest
While the first is just used to create various creature related items, the nest is used similar how a flower pot is used. The player can place an egg on it and it will slowly hatch. When its ready the player can right click on the egg to acquire it.
Beasts are mounts with very special attributes and even attacks of their own. Their summoning item can be placed into the mount slot to ride them, or can be placed into a tool slot and summoned as separate ally.
Skyfall beast: A creature made from almost mechanical appearance. When riding on it the player gets a jetpack like flying ability for long but limited duration. Shoots various lasers at enemies. When summoned as an ally it will have several small satellite options around it that will increase its laser shot output.
Inferno beast: A balrog like creature that casts fireballs and has a short range flying ability and grants immunity to lava while riding it. When summoned as an ally it shoots explosive bolts of fire at rapid succession.
Saint beast: An ethereal bird like creature that flies by default and moves clumsily on the ground. Very good airborn mount and when summoned as an ally it casts an aura that increases health regeneration and armor
Beast of Untamed nature: (This creature looks a bit like a cross between zilla and a tyrannid.) This beasts is not very good at mobility but while riding it the player gains armour bonus while the beast uses shoot spike like projectiles. When summoned as an ally it will attack with a flurry of block penetrating projectiles
Stalker Beast: A black and dark blue smilodon like creature that capable to render it and its rider invisible and attacks with barbs shot from its tail. When summoned as an ally it uses a powerful leaping melee attack to deal lot of damage to anything that in its path.
Wraith Beast: A ghostly serpentine creature that allows the rider a short range dash ability that capable to phase through solid objects, but only if its in the dash move's range (if its the dash would not reach it, than the player just collides with the wall.)
When summoned as an ally it acts similarly as the stardust dragon.
Lunar beast: A wolf like creature when riding it the player can switch gravity and move at very high speed on ground, while attacking with precise but small beams. When summoned as an ally it will rain down projectiles from above while increasing its beam's power
Beasts can be upgraded with "Essence of Terra" an item that can be crafted from the special bars (1 meteorite, hellstone, hallowed, chlorophyte, spectral, shroomite and lumite bar)
Each upgrade will make the speed and special power of the beasts stronger.
Alchemic dabbling
New NPC, the Thaum: The Thaum is a female NPC with draconid appearance. Aside from being the few non human NPC she is the only one who has different appearances (her color of skin often matched with her name). She can be found in the cloud islands in the abandoned dragon forts usually ambling about. Before hardmode she wears very primitive clothing, after hardmode she seem to wear a very elegant clothing matched with a pinz-nez. Also she is the only NPC with wings.
She sells a variety of items including Alchemic Table (if the player could not find any in a dungeon or just needs one quick) Glass bottles. A random potion. Ingredients for various spells and crafting (undisclosed) and a very expensive item called the heart gem. The Thaum will not move into any houses and will not even appear on the NPC roster even if found. However if there's a suitable house with a Heart gem in it than the Thaum will move into that abode.
Potent and Thick potions: Using the alchemic table and extra ingredients the player can use two potions to craft thick or potent potions.
Thick potions have double duration time, while Potent potions have double the effect.
Special healing potion upgrades. Using life fruits players can upgrade healing potions to decrease the potion sickness time on them.
one life fruit can be crafted with
30 lesser healing potions
15 basic healing potions
10 greater healing potions
5 super healing potions
Healing potions are upgraded into healing tonics. Healing tonics than can be upgraded into healing elixirs.
Healing Elixirs need more life fruits, but use the same amount of potions as before.

The guns themselves are made from the various firearms the player can acquire. (rapid fire, flak/shotgun, explosive)
standard turrets do not effect players regardless team and pvp status. In order for them to attack an opposing team in pvp the players have to craft the turrets with dyes that will affect the turrets team assignment.
(i had a few ideas for magic variants with proximity construct upgrades)
NPC
Skyship captain
Requirement: The player must build an airship port in hard mode (defined by a specific height and a craftable airship and light tower beacon connected to the area)

-Glider: A strange winger creature that either swoops at the player or if directly above the player dive bombs at it. Drops glider spike which doubles as unicorn horn.
Underground enemies
-Phase shifter: A caster type enemy which attacks by randomly teleport around the player in quick succession firing an aimed magic missile at the player each time. After four shot it stops for a cool down.

-Silver bat: Similar to the illuminant bat but glows stronger.
-Surveyor: A digging monster that shoots small firebolts at the player when out from blocks.

Instead of shrines there are little treetop houses or even villages, and bee hives are found among the canopy.
Underground the forest mostly consist of large stone caverns and the roots of the giant trees

-Pteranodon: A larger version of the pterodactyl (similar to flying fox)
-Anomalokaris: small critter that spawns from water masses but can come onto the surface

Bossfights
Wreckanator "Space Robot"
Summoned by ? (crafted from meteorite, iron, gold bars glass) Has a chance to appear in the asteroid belt.
A sci-fi themed boss that appears as the upper half of a mecha (the lower body is a large jet thruster). It attacks with rocket hands, bombs and lasers. It's attack pattern is similar to the skeletron prime, mostly swooping above the player and unloading weapons.

drop a 4 leaved clover. This item can be used at reforging granting 100% probability of upgrade from the previous prefix to the next level of
prefix. However only one level will be taken (clover is consumed in process)
Lord of hell Bossfight
Summoned by HellStone insignia (crafted from hellstone, obsidian, fireblossom and iron ingots)
A large version of demon that dwell in the underground: It can fly through blocks and its attack pattern is to quickly sink into the ground bellow and pop up at the opposite side. The Shroud random boss (hardmode)
A foggy apparition resembling a grinning demonic face. Appears in dungeons at random (same way king slime does)
Summons cursed skulls and wraiths and occasionally lunges at the player.
Blind Idiot God boss event
summoned with: Shining trapezohedron
conjures a rather apocalyptic event that consist of the area being overrun by various lovecraftian horrors.
Snake men: scaled humanoids with their lower half of a snake, employing primitive weaponry
fly worms: small dark snake/worm like creatures that swarm the player
mini boss during event
Shaggoth: a large blob like creature that deals corrosive damage and can is very hard to kill
Sky polyp: a malignant flying verticalcolumn of bulbous entity with mouths and eyes forming on it randomly
Crawling madness: a powerful monster resembling a cluster of tentacles with bat wings and head with 3 eyes
Boss of event
The blind idiot god: A large effigy hanging from the sky resembling a strange scallop that remains closed until sufficient monsters are slain. than it opens revealing a horrid monster inside
item drops
tickle demon totem: summons a dark faceless black demon that nimbly attacks enemy monsters and inflict confuse on them
corner whistle: summons a corner hound that can jump in and out of reality and drags enemies into the void
Tome of death: A book that can conjure up ghastly wraith projectiles that tear your enemies asunder...
yellow wings: summons a flying byakhee mount
Yith Lightning gun: A chargable weapon that shoots a beam of lightning.
optional meteorite boss sillyness
space invaders: the classic space invaders can be conjured up and fought in a quick match of dodging pixels
the invaders move like the original, however they always remain on screen maintaining speed with the player, thus they cannot be run away from.
