The following text is "A lethal sentry that stands watch over the Dungeon's gates. Those who are deemed unworthy to enter shall not pass!"

It should rather say "watching over the Dungeon's gates".

Mental Mouse

No, "stands watch" is correct, and is not the same as "stands watching". If I "stand watching" a door, I'm just looking at it. If I'm "standing watch" over it, I'm guarding it, and mean to confront, or at least report, anyone trying to come through.

ETA: Also, "stands watch" does not imply that the guard actually has legs to stand on, which DG doesn't. 😉
