Duplicating is usually frowned upon, but if you are looking for some good Hardmode weapons, someone that has killed the mech bosses should have plenty of Hallowed bars for the Pickaxe Axe and the Excaliber. But, if someone hand you everything you need, I think that ruins the wonderful feeling of progression which is one reason Terraria is such a great game!

I don't know an answer for the original person, but its not hacked, just glitched/exploited, but yeah, don't trade duped items as effort gained items

No. But it can give you armor with the Warding modifier. Which is cool, but the app stopped working since 1.4.
