Portfolio/Multi-Topic Dyeable items?

Now I know you can use dyes to color the equipment on the player, but what it would be like if you could dye ANY item you have? Colored beams/whatever for magic weapons, colored fire ring, etc. Just imagine the possibilities!

Also this could be applied on blocks, which CAN be colored after placing them, but it would take less clicks to have them pre-colored in your inventory.

There is a mod for dying items and it changes the projectile color too. You can just paint blocks and if clicking is to hard for you then you can use the paint sprayer.
