Make sure you have installed the latest Windows updates. If that does not work, try manually updating your graphics drivers to the latest version.any update for this I have the same error... still not working tho i saw for some it had been fixed without changing anything, I have attempted to validate game files, and uninstalling and reinstalling.. no change since the update months ago at this point

also cant seem to figure this bit about default gpu, when i did a search it told me something but the app didnt have a specific thing it mentioned? Nvidias app(s) is(are) a mystery to me.... why does it specifically say nvidias 3d settings..... its 3D?!!?I had this same issue a while ago, but figured out how to fix it... If I remember at some point I'll come back to this thread.
I think it had something to do with having two different cards. Trying forcing the default GPU in Nvidia control panel, and deleting terraria's config.bat file
So, if you have a laptop or PC with 2 GPUs, the RTX will need to be manually selected through Nvidia's settings so that it's used instead of the integrated (NOT RTX) GPU.also cant seem to figure this bit about default gpu, when i did a search it told me something but the app didnt have a specific thing it mentioned?
