I love anything elemental and this would really make those gems useful in Hardmode as well! I did have a small gripe about the elemental staves, though... Why are they still just generic gem blasts? If they've been enchanted with elemental powers, shouldn't the projectiles reflect that? (Super Ruby Staff could shoot a flamethrower-style stream of fire, Super Topaz Staff could shoot lightning, etc.) Then of course I'm pretty sure that Celestial Gem and Celestial Rune Shield would be broken beyond belief, (Imagine equipping both of them at the same time!) but other than that I like the idea! Best thing about it is that if they decide to add more gems, it would mean more uses for this too!

(PS. You accidentally put "Protects from The DARK" into the Frost Ring's tooltip. ;))

Ah, but the problem is that some of them require Boss Souls. They're not exactly "starting" Hardmode weapons if you need to have defeated a Hardmode Boss first, is it? By that time, you already can have Poison Staff, Golden Shower, Flower of Frost, Nimbus Rod and etc. No self-respecting mage is going to go back to Diamond Staff once they have Magic Daggers even with its damage boost, as you can not only shoot them out faster but also they pierce infinitely in exchange for shorter range and lower damage.

Thus, I think they should at least have some kind of unique property. Such as...
  • Amethyst Gem Staff could make a small continuous damage zone a'la Inferno Fork upon impact
  • Topaz Gem Staff could change trajectory when it hits an enemy, like chain lightning
  • Amber Gem Staff could be a slow, but high-knockback projectile that can push enemies in front of it for additional damage
  • Sapphire Gem Staff could burst when it hits something for splash damage
  • Emerald Gem Staff could be a fast, ricocheting projectile with limited piercing
  • Ruby Gem Staff could leave a fiery trail behind it
  • Diamond Gem Staff could leave an icy "landmine" onto walls that it hits that deals an additional hit to any enemy that touches it
Of course, I don't know how big of a thing something like this would be to balance, but at least it would give you a reason to use 'em over other early Hardmode weapons.

Edit: Oh, didn't see the new robes! I would definitely use these, especially the Ruby-one. (On Fire! annoys me more than it should and swimming in lava is fun. :p)

And these suggestions.. I'm liking every single bit of them! I couldn't help but smile when reading one of the lines from the Burning Rose. I quote: 'Immunity Against "On Fire!", -50% "Cursed Inferno" Duration. +4 DEF When Inflicted With "On Fire!"'.

I don't think you should have immunity to frozen and stoned. A lot of servers uses those debuffs to stop client-side characters, so someone with some of this stuff could completely destroy a server.

Maybe they could add a new freezing debuff exclusive to servers.

I really would love that celestial shield cause each of my 6 main characters r gonna use both the celestial shell and ankh shield when they r complete (going of course by what's in the game already) I just have one complaint u kinda never revealed how to craft the elemental necklaces used for almost half this stuff

I like your post, but amber isn't an ore. It's a fossilized drop of sap. According to google, amber is "a hard translucent fossilized resin produced by extinct coniferous trees of the Tertiary period, typically yellowish in color." So there will never be any amber ore.

Oh, this is mainly just a thing I do for fun.
I'm pretty sure only one suggestion ever has been put in the game, and I believe that was Pink Gel.
Wait that dumb thing was a suggestion anyways that celestial shield would bee awesome to have(mind u I'm still have trouble getting the ankh shield) butt there r other people's suggestions that I would love to see put in as well for example I can't remember the creator without looking it up butt there is a thread for furniture made from lunar fragments they already have sprites for solar flare and vortex
