Items EoL Summoning Item

Summoning Empress of Light can sometimes be quite a pain, especially during the day, since Prismatic Lacewing disappears almost immediately.
Therefore, in addition to summoning Empress of Light by killing Prismatic Lacewing in the world, I suggest crafting a Summoning Item by combining 1 Prismatic Lacewing with 1 Throwing Knife.
The item that summons the Boss could be called "Light Sacrifice", when used, it would play the standard critter death sound and summon Empress of Light.

Prismatic Lacewing disappears almost immediately

On standard worlds, the Lacewing only disappears if released outside of a Hallow biome, regardless of the time of day. Just make sure you're releasing it while in the Hallow.

I think the idea of having the empress only summonable in the hallow stay like that. it works the same way you can only summon queen slime in the hallow and BoC and EoW in their respective evil biomes.

Yes, you can simply use the item in your hand too.

EoL, as DF, is like a "secret boss"

If you don't take the glimpse to see the Truffle worm quitting right to be next to you, you probably don't know about DK

Same case with EoL, if you don't take the glimpse to see an invisible butterfly and try to capture to see what happens you probably don't discover her

But if you ask me, the 1st time I fought EoL was in a Expert Multiplayer world with 3 friends, the 1st time we "summon" her was an accident cause we killed accidentally a Lacewing, then she proceeded to absolutely destroy us due to our lack of preparation. It was one of the funniest things to ever happen in that world.

Also, in Classic and Expert, is "easy" to absolutely destroy Day Time EoL with enough preparation

And in Master and Legendary, spawn rates are so higher that is difficult to don't see any Lacewing all nights. I remember get tired of killing EoL all night while farming Rainbow Slimes

No, no, I don't want to remove the current way to summon EoL, I want to add a new way. You can still randomly summon her by wrapping Prismatic Lacewing in the wild (and most likely by accident), but you can also do it directly in your inventory.

Helpful for people who constantly walk around with the Nature's Coexistence Manual enabled.

No, no, I don't want to remove the current way to summon EoL, I want to add a new way. You can still randomly summon her by wrapping Prismatic Lacewing in the wild (and most likely by accident), but you can also do it directly in your inventory.

I think the problem is that you are having trouble spawning EoL without the Lacewing despawning. Just, be faster - what else is there to say?

“Just be faster” is pretty silly to say when the lacewing becomes invincible in 1 frame and despawns shortly after if you try to summon it outside of the hallow. The use time of the actual lacewing item makes it literally impossible to switch to a weapon fast enough to kill it.

I would be absolutely fine with a more convenient way to summon empress. They removed minions being able to damage lacewings, so you can’t just feed it to one of them to summon her outside of the hallow anymore and have to use something like Clinger Staff or Rainbow Gun to do it now instead. It also screws you if you forgot to disable your critter protection.

You can always make a Hallow biome and summon her there. Also, there has been cases where I (a gosh darn mobile player) have summoned the boss outside the Hallow. It's possible. Honestly, I think that the current system is fine as is. You have to react fast and be sharp if you want to summon the boss, yet doing this makes EoL more unique than other bosses.

Are you trying to summon EoL in Hallow, right? If you release the Lacewing in Hallow it stay there

Well, to be honest, if you are unable to react and kill a Lacewing that you just drop from your own inventory, I don't think you are fast enough to fight EoL either. No offens

Make EoL be summonable in other biomes than hallow wouldn't have too much sense since other bosses also have to be summon in their own biomes or times
(Queen Bee in Jungle, enrages if you try to quit the Jungle)
(Plantera in Jungle, enrages if you try to quit the Cavern Jungle)
(Skeletron, Mechs and EoC at night)
(Duke in the Ocean)
Etc

Yeah, you can summon her outside the hallow with setup. Not “just being faster” which is using reaction instead. Unless mobile has an inconsistency keeping the hitbox active for longer,like daybreak doing half the damage it’s supposed to and night’s edge hitting twice as often (which are inconsistencies with PC mobile has).

They also would not remove the old summoning method so I’m not sure how it’s “less unique” considering it’s still in the game. You don’t even need to react to summon it (setup is a thing) so that part isn’t relevant either.
