Switch Explored Map disappeared

My explored map disappeared on the Nintendo Switch. It is a large world in hard mode. I had just ended a local multiplayer session and the map turned black when the other person left. My map has not come back. Please help.
 
This exact same thing happened to me, sadly you won't be able to get it back. I hope to god this gets patched in the next update or else that's gonna suck.
 
If i go in my World but in multiplayer then my map is Black to but then i did go to an desert and the map was back idk why...

And i died in the desert and lost 40 gold coins
