Weapons & Equip Fetishes: A Summoner Primary Weapon Series

Teh Manticore

Terrarian
Considering the empty spot of primary weapons for the Summoner class, Fetishes would fill this spot on the Summoner toolbar.
Each Fetish deals summoner damage at range and has two attack methods.

Hold Left Mouse Button
While the mouse button is held, all your summons attack targets near your mouse cursor. The fetish deals it's damage continuously as an AOE around the mouse cursor while draining mana. Each second the mouse is held down, you get a cumulative minion damage buff, making your minions do more and more damage.

Right Mouse Button
Each summon tries to pick a different target and attacks it. If clicked within a second of letting go the left mouse button, the minion damage accumulated lasts for 10 seconds.

The purpose of the Fetishes is to mimic the right-click ability of each summon weapon to control the targets of the summons while also dealing your own summon damage. Instead of the summon control being per-staff, it controls all summons and sentries that you have out, enabling you to have a mix of summons and to feel like a real minion master.

I think we need some context here
I think I know what you're getting at?
Fetish: "an inanimate object worshipped for its supposed magical powers or because it is considered to be inhabited by a spirit.
synonyms: juju, talisman, charm, amulet; totem, icon, idol, image, effigy, doll, statue, figure, figurine; archaic periapt"
So a fetish is like a focus, voodoo doll, or icon for the summoner. You could see it as something that enhances the summoners control over minions and minds, and causes minions to frenzy, and does mind or spirit damage to foes.

I like the concept of a summoner AOE weapon. It feels very suiting for the class. However there are a few things that might need revision.

-"Fetish" has meanings not quite suited for Terraria. There are plenty of other words to use, such as aura.
-The first 4 items have unclear obtainings. If there was a tier or biome you could link these to, it would help them make sense.
-Summoner doesn't have much association gear-wise with mana. However, these weapons are mana based. A way for summoners to get mana or a different weapon cost would help it work better in the game.
