I have a little spoiler for all of you, As you can see I love the idea of a void so I would like to contribute my time to develop the void into a place of true terror.
I will try to improve the overall quality of the biome with overhauled loot creatures and more. Try and fill the void, get it..... :{ bad joke

Yay !! I always will love the void because in normal terraria hell is cool and it takes up a large part of the world and it's beautiful to see an 'alternate' version of it like the void , I'm looking forward to the release of it too so ... Cheers! Also Vlad is going to be doing/redoing (probably) sprites for this mod wich will make it shine even brighter . GG
 
So I watched gameraider's video where he showed the void off.

I mainly noticed the swamp and void have very loud music, also hearing the void music I am reminded of a certain universal cosmic destroyer from a certain SNES JRPG.

Also what about other mods that have recipes that require hellstone bars, ash blocks or other various hellstone materials? What will happen to them?
I do think that if you are going to implement a hell alt, then at least make some of the alt materials work with other mod recipes.
 
Haha, yes, it is Earthbound styled music for the Void.
The Void didn't sound too loud to me, but I guess I'll get that fixed soon. The Swamp is already fixed.
and I guess I'll make Hellstone Bars craftable w/ Voidium Bars at Lava, too.

What about items like the magma stone? Or for example, Thorium's Molten Residue.
There is alot more to the underworld then just Hellstone Bars, especially with other mods installed.
 
I assume there will a be an alternate items and to solve recipe issues there could be a crafting station allowing vice versa of equipment. Void/Underworld items back to back

I mean in a mod sense, said alternate items wouldn't work for mod recipes.

For example my hallowed compound bow from my item compilation mod didn't work with recipes for mods like thorium, so I remedied that by adding cross mod recipes involving the hallowed compound bow.

That's what I mean, it seems that the void may need a bit of cross mod compatibility.

I'll probably work on those as the problems arise. It's a lot to get every mod that uses Underworld things.

I'd say at least compatibility with Thorium and Calamity, as from what I have seen they are the two most popular.

I think these enemies would be better suited for a Void, a desolate realm under perpetual entropy lacking life and ravaged by time/space anomalies.
The endless shadows breath out erratic organisms not made of ordinary materials. Improved enemies and MORE....

Void Spawn- Foul creatures birthed from a unextinguished shadow, their behaviour is very unpredictable.

Ok, if vladimier is on your side this mod is going to turn out amazing.
 
I have an alternative idea to the issue of dealing with hellstone, ash, and other mods. Instead of the whole underground being like it is, allow the sides to generate ash, hellstone and lava. I think that could add some flavor as well, it'd be awesome if it would automatically generate the little lava falls so it looks like the lava is flowing into the void and disappearing.

can i ask what do the keys do? the underworld keys seem to not spawn a minic when i put it in a chest!
 
Removed the background, since it's only going to be underground (for a while (hint hint)). I know you can move it above ground, but meh.

Okay, I tried building a house in it but I got tired of dealing with the spiders. It generated on top of a spider biome and a good deal of the spider walls were still there. So, yeah, got overwhelming pdq a few times.
