Game wiped my Worlds and Characters after Reinstalling my OS onto my SSD

I got an SSD a couple months ago since my Hard-drive was slow and extraordinarily frustrating to work with. When I got my SSD. my Dad suggested that I reinstall my entire OS onto my SSD to make everything faster. So I did, forgetting to backup my saves. When I come back to Terraria two months later, it only has a couple of worlds and one character that I manually backed-up several years ago. My documents folder on my Hard-drive is almost completely empty, only containing the files for Polybridge 2, (Unrelated) The documents folder is my SSD IS completely empty. Just wanted to check to see if anyone's had problems like this and would have an idea where my files went. I've had Terraria completely wipe my saves probably over 10 times and I might just stop playing if it did it again.
