Single Thread RP Generic Adventures of the Main Protagonists

(Updated.)
("<br>" happened again, unfortunately.)
(I missed it this time because I was doing a bulk-updating of my color list. I'll update my HTM file tomorrow to move everyone there to their correct positions.
Starlight and Ado will be in upcoming until they're introduced here)
"Yeah. Last time I saw something like this, it was because of the Metal Virus."
"...The what?"
He's confused again.

He's confused again.
"The Metal Virus. Basically, everybody turned into robot zombies, and it spread to anyone that a zombot touched."

"Oh... that doesn't sound good."
(*Looks up from bench*)
(No Antasy, I'm not adding you right now.)

"Yeah, it was really bad..."
"But me and Silver used the Chaos Emeralds and Warp Topaz to throw it into the sun, so I'm sure it's completely gone."

Sonic laughs.
"No virus could ever survive being on the sun!"

"Anyways, we should probably go investigate more."
"Agreed."
My characters resume walking towards the town.

My characters follow, Roxas seeming nervous.
The doors are closed. Window shutters and blinds are as well; closed, obscuring the insides of every house.
The streets are empty, and no lights are on anywhere in the down. No candles lit, no backyard fires, and no Artifact Lights' light leaks through the doorframes or window shutters/blinds of Town Hall.

Roxas is getting particularly nervous about the situation now.
Deca notices, and looks at Roxas.
"It'll be okay. We'll make sure of it."

"Maybe we could knock on a door?"

(D10 for reaction intensity: ...2)
(As Esther said: "My average roll is a Nat1")
Roxas jumps, quickly turning towards the sound.
<Whatwasthat->

Altin turns towards the sound as well, doing so much more calmly.

Something starts scratching on the other side of that house's door.

Whatever is scratching starts to hiss and screech.
(D48: 2)
(Again, average roll is a nat1 moment.)
Roxas tries to create a knife... only for it to flicker and disappear again.
<For the love of...>
<Why does it have to fail now?!>

Altin seems cautious as well now.

The scratching stops, and the door opens.
A teenage girl stands there, holding a cat.

"Sorry about that; Timothy really hates not being able to see things that he smells."
Behind her, further into the house, the protagonists can see a woman with a broom, cleaning up the shards of a broken ceramic cup.
"Um, there's a lot of you... Y'all might want to go to the Secondtown Inn; while you are unknowingly breaking Any Second Day tradition, I don't think my family's house is big enough to have more than three guests..."
She closes the door.

"..."
"I did not need that today..."
Roxas now just seems like he wants to go back to bed.
(Which, mood, I might go to sleep soon)

"Any Second Day..."
"Oh yeah! That's the annual holiday which takes place in Secondtown; legend says that over 2000 years ago, a catastrophe happened. The people of this town knew what day it would happen, but not the hour, minute, or second. So on this day, they hid in their homes, with lights off, doors closed, and blinds drawn, knowing that something bad could happen at any second. Nobody knows for sure what catastrophe this was, but one thing we do know: the town was named Secondtown in honor of this, and Any Second Day was implemented as an annual holiday; a reminder."
"Speaking of which, let's go find the Secondtown Inn."
