These little tree-dwellers are heavily underutilized in Terraria; I thought of a few Suggestions to enhance the gameplay experience for many players who feel underwhelmed at the representation of their favourite fae creature in-game.
Here are some suggestions that would greatly improve the Gnomes of Terraria:
Number One: A Gnome Vanity Set.
The Prospect of a Gnome vanity set is an enticing one, many players (including myself) would be eager to have this outfit.
This is the upmost prioritized suggestion relative to this post.
The mechanic idea: Whenever a Gnome is slain, it has a 0.1% chance to drop one of the 3 pieces to a Gnome Vanity set. The Chance for any 3 pieces to drop increase slightly during hardmode.
Number Two: A Gnome Summon Staff.
The proposition is for living wood chests to have a small chance to contain a Gnome staff, doing 15 summon damage, it will summon Friendly Gnomes that have a 15% damage boost in the Purity biomes. if your luck is bad, it has a chance to summon a regular enemy Gnome. The Gnomes also will grow grass or flowers wherever they walk.
Number Three: Gnome Pet.
Terraria Players would be given the treat to own a Gnome pet that can be equipped using something called an "Agrarian Charm."
Has a chance to be found in living wood chests or can be obtained when using purification powder on a live Gnome, or one that is petrified, the pet gives a boost of good luck in the purity biome.
Number Four: Gnome Statue
There are no Statue blocks to spawn Gnomes with wiring, which is quite unfortunate.
Finally: Forest Fae ring
A Hardmode Mount that allows you to transform into a Gnome whilst not in direct sunlight, obtained as a rare drop from Gnomes in hard mode. Flowers grow wherever you walk automatically, and your fishing power increases by 10% in Gnome form (don't ask) You are able to fit through 2 tile (or maybe 1 tile gaps) other Gnomes will be passive towards you.
