The first 4 cours are finished.

New Screenshots from the first 9 fisnished and reworked holes.
Changed many little things to make the course smooth to play.
High Grass is now on all maps (finished) wich is kinda like the "rough".
Ball is slowed down if it moves to tall grass, and you can not hit very good out of it.
Start with some Houseing for Npcs (Pylons)
Added some secrets.
Start on working on the top layer, for the last few Holes.

Hi People.

Im working on a Golf Map. (Beta)
Hope some of you will test the Map and help me to improve at some points.


Real Golf
with wide Maps and good drives.
*(mini-golf map comes later)

Finished Map should have
18 Holes.
Connectect with Teleporter or Pylons.
Journey Map. (You get all the Items you need, on Top you can prevent Enemey-Spawn for chill Golf Ambiente).



The Map starts with a Driving-Range, were you can test your Skill with every Club.
(4 Holes put there, were you can Hole-in-One with ervey Club to practice)

After that, the Course starts with some easy Maps (beginner). You have planty of space, and just some little hills.
More and more, the level gets higher. The (amateur) Maps have some obsticales included. Like Sand-Bunker or even some Water.
At the End the (profi) Maps are more like tricky and you need need all you have learned sofar from the previous Maps.

*profi is right now the highest, with later maps, the level will get up at least one Rank to (champion). I have to figure out some stuff for it.



At the Moment, the Map is fully playable. Thats why i start a Beta-Test.
Some of the Courses are not even touched (deco and plant, etc) but i allready did some testing with friends.
Other Courses are quit finished, with everything.

So you should have a lot of Fun.



There are some Rules and Tipps down below.

Par = The Strokes you should need to finish the Hole. Means 0 (zero) in scores

Everything better (lesser strokes) counts - (minus) in score
Everything higher (more strokes) counts + (plus) in score

Example.
A Par4 hole.
If you use 3 strokes your score gets -1
if you use 4 strokes your score gets 0
if you use 5 strokes your score gets +1

*using the whistle gets you another stroke on top of the missed.
**if you fail at the Tee, you can take another shot without using the whistle.

Enemey spawn rate at 0 (zero)
Freeze Time
Set Time on "Noon"

Very nice. par for each hole seemed good. I understand its beta so I'm not sure if you're already planning too add more, but more/more interesting scenery, maybe a cafe/bar halfway for instance? and some of the edges could be flattened so it works better for a golf cart hahah for that 100% golfing experience. but all in all nicely done.

You are right, i planned some "structure buildings" to bring the world alive. But its my weak-spot. Ive uploaded a few new screenshots today, where you can see, i finished first 4 holes and do some buildings.
Also i worked more and more on the edges, some parts in the Beta map are very "raw" at the point.
I changed allready many little things, thanks to beta tester.
With the "high grass" i added, the ball gets slowed down. So you have to aim better from the Tee, to get a nice next shot.

Still, many things to do. Beside the last few holes to get 18 holes in total, i wanna connect the map with teleporters for easy travel.
I allready include some easter-eggs, and after the map is finished, we will do a event.

So again, thank you for playing/testing the map, i hope it was fun.

If you want, I could probably make some buildings for you which could either be ported in via tedit or just directly made on the .wld file.

yeah sweet as dude. I'm usually up real late, so time difference might not be so much of a problem.
 
Downloaded your map after completing the official golf starter pack and feeling hungry for more golf maps. It was great fun! Gotta say it was a different experience to the starter pack maps, being a bit more like real golf, rather than video game puzzle golf, but still really enjoyable!

One bit of feedback if you weren't already intending to do this: in Omega Golf Adventure, there's a bed at the start of each hole so you can log out then in again without respawning all the way back at the beginning. Maybe it could be in a clubhouse or shack at every hole?

Im very happy you had fun with it, i tried to make the course like "real golf". Also im working on a mini-golf Map. But first i wanna finish this project.


I will add the idea of "beds" around the Map.
First i just want to connect the whole World with Teleporter/Pylons.
But there can also be some beds around the Map, if i add more buildings.

I try to work this Weekend on the Map and finish all the 13 holes on the first part.
You saw, some of them are still "raw" only the Grass and the Landscape is set up.
If the Map is at this point, i will update the Beta-Map download Link.
Now, with adding some "tall-grass" and other things, the Map plays diffrent, even more "tatical". I really love it.
There are some Screenshots above, form the first 4 holes, i reworked them. (not in beta-Map atm)

Also im thinking about to make the last 5 holes, very long. What do you think about it?
Are the holes allready long enough, or will it be fun even bigger maps to play?

Now you mention it, pylons and teleporters might make beds unnecessary if you can easily get back to the hole you need right from the start. I'll leave that up to you and your design ideas!

As for the length of the holes, I think there was a nice mix of longer and shorter holes, but I don't think it would be a bad idea making a few longer ones if you can fit them onto the world. Maybe instead of just making them longer horizontally, you could add some more verticality to some of the holes? I know you're trying to avoid minigolf, but perhaps having a hole on an island or on a hill or in a pit or something might add some variety in different ways while still making it feel quite natural?

Oh, and also I forgot to mention one tiny thing: I can't remember which hole it was (maybe number the holes once you've finalised the design?) but I think one was missing a flag. I don't know if that was intentional or just something you forgot, but there you go!

You saw, i used up allready the whole map, from one end to the other. for 13 holes. i thought about a layer above, for the last 5 holes, also going from one end the the other. so these are 5 Omega-Long holes.
I dont know yet, but i will make them at least harder for a higher difficulty.

Also for the last hole i thought about a hole, on a island. So i will figure out, if i can bring in more "crazy" stuff, but keep the feeling of a regular golf.
And yes, there was a hole missing a flag.
