There, you find somewhat unattractive and a little boring girl that likes you. Out of desperation you decide to date her. You meet her best friend that IS the absolute love of your life. Her friend is everything and anything you could ask for. You know with your life that a relationship with her would work out. However you can't meet her because that would prove you a cheater and permanently lock you out from being with that girl. Also since you're in a relationship with her closest friend anyway she would hate you if you were to break her heart. You're in a stalemate with having nothing achieved even though you got what you wished for. You buy an orange cat.

I unknowingly barely save myself from this exact situation.
