Got a new computer and Terraria won't launch (Windows 11)

Hey guys,
I recently got a new laptop and installed terraria on it but it won't launch (steam says play, then running, then play nothing pops up)
I have tried to fix it by:
reinstalling the game
deleting the terraria folder then reinstalling the game
verifying files
reinstalling .net framework and xna framework
running the game from the exe
running the game as admin from the exe
messing with the compatibility settings (setting them to 640x800, no fullscreen optimization, and run as administrator)
attempting to edit config.json even though I don't have a My games folder since it's a new computer and terraria has not launched
doing -logfile and -logerrors, but couldn't get it to work since there was no log folder, tried making a log folder but it didn't work
I also ran terraria server.exe (earlier) and got two codes from it:
0xe0434352
and
0x800700c1
I should mention again that there is not a Documents/My Games/Terraria folder since the game hasn't even launched successfully. I'm assuming that the game creates that folder once it launches but if it doesn't and it's supposed to be there then that could be the issue.

hey man my gf had this problem with tomb raider a while ago, I fixed it by checking if all of the game folders exist or are not hidden, try creating all folders in documents and the steam game folder, I will attach a screenshot of the folders so u can create them, if it wont work I can send u all the .json and .dat files from the documents cause idk if they are needed to fix this issue

when I was trying to fix the tomb raider problem none of the internet solutions worked for me, but I saw on reddit that reinstalling windows can fix this but ehh..

and those problems with the server, there should be dlls missing, if u host a server u prob gonna find solutions of those errors on reddit or youtube
also try to run terraria from the folder as admin, see if some dll erros pop up and these stuff

hope u can fix this without reinstalling windows bra :piratesmile:

Thanks for the reply, I'll try this tomorrow.
reinstalling windows might not be a big deal since it's a new computer, but I don't want to do it and then have it not fix it.
 
You'll need assistance from Kazzymodus, this is some install issue where 32 and 64 bit versions of the DLLs are mixed up.
 
New developement: if it helps, I figured out that tmodloader works. Base terraria is still broken.

  1. Download the .ZIP below and extract it to a new or existing folder.
  2. Go to your Steam Library, right click Terraria and select "Manage => Browse local files".
  3. In the newly opened folder, find the Terraria executable and click and drag it on top of DependencyChecker.exe.
  4. A console window should open. Wait for it to finish, then copy the contents of the window and upload them to this thread.
