Yeah so this is very simple. It is February 18 as of typing this and like 5 minutes ago I got a present from a Black Recluse while looking for the Stylist. I don't really know how it happened it just dropped after I killed one like normal but it is not the Christmas event so I was thinking the dev team might wonder about it.

If you get to wave 20 of the Frost Moon, it starts one in-game day of Christmas, so that it's possible to get the Bestiary entries for Christmas-exclusive enemies at any time of the year. That most likely explains why you got the Present, since you have the North Pole in your hotbar, which drops from the Frost Moon, so you obviously did the Frost Moon.

I think it was modified to wave 15 (so it's easier to actually get Christmas. getting to wave 20 is almost impossible anyway), but otherwise agree.

I was going to report this as a bug as well. I'd forgotten the last time I played I'd done the Frost Moon. I couldn't work out why I was getting presents the next time I played. It was only when the notification came up that the Christmas season was over I realised.
