Mobile Grappling Hook

I don't know if this is just my mobile device, or if this was part of the Journey's End Update, but every time I get a grappling hook, I can use it in my hotbar a couple times, but then it stops working and I have to equip it. The button that you use to throw the grappling hook makes it hard to control. In 1.3 I used to use grappling hooks a lot, but now it is really annoying to use. If this is a bug, can you fix it? If this is a feature that they added in 1.4 or 1.3.5 please tell me.

On the bottom left of the screen. If there is like crosshair thing like ‘+’ tap it. If its just the plus symbol it means you just aim and don’t use it. Also, if it’s in your hotbar double tap it. This will equip it allowing you to use it from the green joystick above your aim/fire joystick.
