Game Mechanics Guaranteed drop after x number of kills

RNG is a gripe many people have with this game and it's something I think can be fixed with a decently small change. Currently there is no set goal you can reach to get a certain rare item from an enemy, you're working towards the chance of it dropping from the next kill, or maybe after the next 50 kills, or the next 1000. Having some RNG when it comes to item drops is important because it gives the player some uncertainty as to when they'll get an item and prevents grinding from just becoming a countdown, but I think the player should also be able to have a guarantee that if they put in enough work, they will get the item. When developers make a 1% chance for an item to drop, that's only a suggestion to the computer that it will drop every ~100 kills. But depending on what random numbers get generated, it can frustratingly turn into 300, 500, or 1000 kills until the player gets the item.

Here's my idea to fix the problem: Guarantee a drop after the amount of kills that the drop chance would suggest. For example, if an item had a 2% drop chance and the player killed the enemy 50 times without getting it, that 50th kill will guarantee the drop. Or if the direct conversion seems too OP, it can be 2 or 3 times as many kills for the guaranteed drop, so after 100 or 150 kills. The point isn't to make the item easier to get, but to not punish the player if the RNG isn't lining up with what the developers wanted to happen. You should be more likely to get the drop from RNG, but if the player already put in way more time and effort and luck isn't on their side, it would feel more fun to just get the item after a reasonable grind than to spend countless hours on one type of enemy for you to be no closer to getting the item than when you started. The key thing is that the player should feel like they're making progress after each kill rather than spinning a wheel over and over with no better chance of winning than last time.

(Idea)MOB LUCK
every time you kill a monster your mob luck on that monster increases a little. It makes getting the rarer items more and more common until you get a rare drop then it resets. This would make rare drops a more relevant thing in early game since people will grind a specific monster for hours to get one item they need. And that is no fun
