Other Literature Guide Fan lore!!

Well, I made this account, so I might as well use it, here is some Lore crafted for the Guide.
• Guides are actually a whole species, who can be aligned with different objects or habitats. Habitat alignments are more common than object alignments. (Crimson and Corruption being the most common of habitat alignments)
• After enough time has passed and certain requirements are met, a guide Metamorphose into a Moonlord, at the cost of his sense of self.
• It’s possible to turn a Moonlord back into a guide, but it’s a very dangerous process, not to mention painful for both parties
• Guides and Dryads hate each other. The two species do not get along at all.
• Guides have no specific gender, and are born genderless. However, most of them present as male.
• A Guide’s alignment shows in their physical traits while they are in their “Demi-human” form (A Gemspark aligned Guide would have glowing crystals on his body, while a Hallow Guide would have the legs, mane and horn of a unicorn)
• Guides can go from world to world without a struggle! This is referred to as “World-hopping”!
• The Order Of The Guides is just one of many Guide-lead factions. This is due to the threat of Dryads, who can World-hop like Guides.
• Guides that lack alignments are very genetically similar to raccoons, so much so that they are something of a raccoon-human hybrid, that lean more toward humanity in terms of appearance. They also sport a layer of soft, skin colored fur.
• Nobody knows where Guides came from, not even the Guides themselves!
• Former Moonlord Guides have a secondary “Lunar” alignment. This is super rare!!

A comprehensive list of the guide alignments and their physical traits would be neat, though I understand if it’s a lot of work. Pretty creative fanlore overall!

Thank you!! I’m think on it!

Alright, more lore!!
• There is a special delicacy among Guides called Blue (pronounced: Bla-He-You.)
•The blue drink is made by juicing glowing mushrooms, blackcurrant and lemons, along with other optional ingredients (most commonly fruit) before adding the mix to some Shimmer with ice and stirring in a herb of choice that has been ground into a fine paste. The most commonly used herb is deathweed.
•Blue has a sweet-sour taste with a kick of Kayan or bitterness depending on the extra ingredients and herb choice.
•Unfortunately, Blue has extremely hallucinogenic effects on any non-Guides, so drink with caution, as it’s basically Guide battery acid.
• Real world Blue is made by simply popping blue cotton candy into lemonade and, if you like, adding fruit juice.
•Guides have their own language!
• Guides of similar habitat alignments often clash over territory. It’s not very wise to interfere, that’s how you lose almost all of your health (and Mana!) in one go.
• Some Guides don’t know what a bath is.
• Guide slang for human things include: “Savory slice” (pizza) “FakeRock” (concrete or asphalt)
“Magic Streams” (Running water) and “Flight-bringers” (Flying aircraft of any kind)
• Guides would be considered pests in our world, but would still have rights.
• A group of Guides is called a ‘Library’
• Object aligned Guides are more in tune with technology than Habitat aligned Guides, who mainly focus on survival and keeping the Terraria multiverse balanced and stable

@Dapling There’s the list! By the way, Lumite Aligned Guides were quite a sight, such a shame they’re extinct.

I think that the guide came because Redigit had one time a nightmare. In the nightmare Redigit's children installed and executed random EXE files and a virus displayed a strange man on the monitor, and there the idea for the guide came.

This is awesome and radically different from any interpretation of the guide I’ve seen!

Before we get started, let’s get some background on the Library (group of Guides) we’ll be discussing.

THE SUN-WIND GUILD

The Sun-Wind Guild lives in the open desert, sleeping and having their main camp in cleared-out Antlion tunnels, and are known for galloping over the open sands and having a diet of scorpions and cactus fruit.

Now, some words you might hear.
Ska’peit (Sun-Wind curse word, pronounced ska-pe-et)
Youngling (An individual between ages 1-12)
Sting-fish (Scorpio Fish)
Feyria (Sprites, Feylings, and Fairies. Pronounced Fae-rye-a)
The Enemy (Dryads)
Non-Guides (Self-explanatory)

Now lets start.

“Ska’peit!”
Jason, a particularly small and lithe Gemspark aligned trainee cursed to himself. He was wading in an oasis when something stung him.
“Yeesh, these Sting-Fish are more active than usual…” He muttered to himself All the poor fellow could do about his predicament was shake his head, unintentionally mussing up his sapphire blue hair in the process. He had insisted on doing a solo patrol in the scalding heat of a summer desert day, a mistake on his part. The thing was, if there were Sting-Fish here, maybe he could catch some and bring them back to the camp, deep within the now cleared-out Antlion tunnels. “I’m here now, so I might as well get to work. It might even count as an assessment score.”
And with that, Jason got to work.

And that’s the whole fic :p hope you enjoyed!

P.S. Shoutout to @Redigit🌳 for being the Guide of All Guides, and an overall cool guy! You the man, man!

God I’m so bored and kinda burnt out lol, but
I came up with a funny concept for my fan lore, and it’s that if a Guide wants to switch factions, he has to make a presentation of sorts, sort of like getting into college

Needless to say, this Hallow Guide isn’t doing a very good job, lol. Bonus points if you recognize the meme.

Hi there @GeneralTrash5 I combined your three threads into one to keep things more organized. :) All of your Guide lore can go into this one thread.

Thank you so much! I’m glad you took the time to do that, you have my appreciation! I hope to write more in the future!

really cool. However, if the guides and Dryads hate each other then why do the Guide and Dryad "Like" each other? I know they are the last of their kind. (in a headcanon of mine they form a romantic relationship, besides the point)

And Our Guide is a member of the Order, right?
