I made an mob farm and tried to control mob type by switching different spawning floor as in 1.3 and noticed that hallow mobs cannot spawn on pearlstone blocks if the player is not inside a hallow biome (with at least 125 hallow blocks nearby)
i did several tests and the results are:
stone spawning floor either with or without hallowed biome -> ordinary cavern mobs (skeletons, giant bats, etc)
pearlstone spawning floor without hallowed biome -> ordinary cavern mobs
pearlstone with hallowed biome -> hallow mobs with some skeletons
crimston either either with or without hallowed biome -> crimson mobs (also they drop soul of light as expected for any mob inside cavern hallow) without ordinary cavern mobs
the inconsistence between hallow and crimsom makes me believe that this is not an intended behavior.
