Mobile Hardmode won't activate properly

So I created a new world and eventually defeated WoF. But hardmode didn't activate properly. Meteor heads still drop stuff and monsters won't drop Souls of Night! They do drop Souls of Light though. (I have a crimson world, iOS 8).
