Help Me Please!

The other day i was playing Terraria and my PC froze and i had to turn it off as it did not respond by doing so the next time i loaded up Terrari my profile and my world are gone. Does anyone know a way to get this back as i really do not want to start back from the beginning again. I tried to load up a backup if i try it just crashes my Terraria and i am not able to do anything at all

There are 3 options:

1. Disable Steam Cloud and try to load the backup. Probably won't work because Steam Cloud loves to destroy backups, but hey, might as well.

2. Disable Steam Cloud, reinstall Terraria, and try again with the backup.

3. Cheat your character to have the same stuff as before, and cheat your world by TEdit.
