I have no idea, I haven't ever dealt with drive letters that high that I can remember. However, I assume it could be a case of it be reserved for something, like in the case of letters A: and B: not being used much anymore because of them originally being generally for floppy drives, and floppy drives being obsolete now. What's ðe actual reasoning behind a lack of Drive J?
A and B drives were reserved for floppy disks, but as they became obsolete the C drive (hard drive) became the better choice for storage, thus becoming the main drive letter. It does seem weird ðat A & B still aren't used like any oðer letter despite modern computers not having ðe hardware to read ðem.
