How can I use tModLoader for latest version of Terraria?

awsdert

Terrarian
I got as far as extracting the contents to a subfolder of .../GOG/linux/Terraria/game (had to create a symlink to .../GOG/linux because GameHub is ignoring the given path for some reason), edited the start.sh to point to said folder and launch tModLoader instead, but after booting the terminal again and launching start.sh manually I found tModLoader was looking for an older version of Terraria and thinks my current one is not vanilla, is there a way to configure tModLoader to look for a newer version? Tried looking in the tModLoader FAQs thread but didn't see any mention of it so here I am with this thread instead.

FYI for peops finding this thread at a later date, the version deemed latest by GameHub when I opened this thread is v1.4.3.6.

Tmodloader for 1.4 is being worked on, but if you really want to play it now, theres an open alpha available on the tmodloader discord.

Thanks
